I work for a competing consulting company. How this know nothing got into Deloitte in the first place is almost astounding.
The magic word: "HARVARD!" The word is a mahogany wand, with a unicorn hair core.
Known a couple of them over the years. Got in as an AA choice, walks out of the Yard, and he's on a fast track to the Top, with a degree in history. Not very bright, but with a sense of entitlement that can span an ocean. Some HR type with a degree from Bogwaddle State will happily lick a Harvard man's toe sweat.
The big accounting firms have been PC hotbeds of affirmative action for years; when I was in school a few decades ago, their recruiters would seek out the black accounting majors (they had their own group - NABA - National Association of Black Accountants). White men need not apply...
Back in the early 2000's my company hired Deloitte and Touche when the corporation converted to SAP software and they came in and instructed our IT dept and respective dept managers on how to use it.....
The individuals I had contact with were super professional so you're right, how that bimbo got hired is a mystery to me........
Affirmative action? Diversity?
You’d be surprised what the sacred cow of diversity can bring.
One of our minority VP’s can barely put two sentences together without saying “you know” or “you hear me” and “um” about a dozen times.
Getting really tired of the clowns leading the circus.
