At a time in this country when others her age are actively spending their time dodging responsibility, she signed up to serve and defend your freedom. She was a soldier and she was murdered.
She was a PFC detailed to her unit's arms room. When I was a company commander, it was regular practice to select only from the most responsible and mature soldiers and NCOs to work in the arms room. I suspect that has not changed.

Look, so far as i'm concerned, the vast majority of women in the armed services are nothing but a big social program, and only serve to create a greatly weakened war fighting system.
It is just nonsense that people keep pretending that the girls are the equal of boys in dishing out violence. They aren't. If we believe in reality, we ought to be willing to speak the truth on the matter.
The top five percent of females can successfully compete with the bottom 20% of males, so why do we even bother?
