A suspect in the disappearance of a 20-year-old Fort Hood soldier killed himself as law enforcement approached Tuesday night and a second person, a civilian, is now in the custody of the Texas Rangers and awaiting charges as the investigation into human remains found on the post continues, officials with the base say.
The unnamed soldier, officials said, was wanted in connection with the disappearance of Pfc. Vanessa Guillen, who was last seen April 22 in a parking lot outside her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters. Her car keys, barracks room key, ID card and wallet were found in the room where she was working the day she disappeared.
Wednesday morning, officials at the Fort Hood confirmed they were attempting to locate an unnamed junior soldier who left the post late Tuesday and that as law enforcement officers approached him he reportedly pulled out a gun and killed himself.

I think it's a tragedy that this poor girl was murdered, apparently by her Sargent, but my primary point here is that she didn't belong in that situation, and if we weren't playing stupid social experiment games with our military, she would not have *BEEN* in that situation.

I mean, that gay men attacking the boys in the boy scouts isn’t recent, it was happening when I was in scouts, and is why they are bankrupt now, paying out millions in damages.

I think it’s still just the two sets of remains, the male soldier who went missing last year and Vanessa’s. Odd they both ended up in the same location. Makes you think if this is a dumping ground for serial killers. Wonder if he crossed paths with the ones who are suspects in Vanessa’s murder.

She was a lovelyyoung woman who signed up to serve her country, and her death, at the hands of a “man” who was responsible for her welfare is both heartbreaking and infuriating. If (and we often do) cut a word off the rank, it’s “Command”, leaving “Sergeant Major”.
Other senior enlisted— I never heard a Staff Sergeant (E-6) do it— might call him “Smadge” to his face, while lower NCOs might refer to the “Smadge” among themselves.

Yes....However, the role of women in the military is a concerning issue for a lot of people. Including myself.
Further there’s certainly unanswered questions in how and why this happened which likely will not be answered.

According to family atty she was killed in the armory room. Her blood all over room
