On Friday night, CNN host Chris Cuomo emphasized to viewers that they do not need help from above, but can do the right thing and make changes in their communities on their own.
If you believe in one another and if you do the right thing for yourself and your community, things will get better in this country, Cuomo said.
You dont need help from above, the CNN host stressed. Its within us.
The clip, days old, resurfaced on Tuesday, sparking Christians to respond.
Chris Cuomo: You dont need help from above; its within us. Yep, that tactic is working SUPER well right now! mocked The Blaze TVs Allie Beth Stuckey.
The spirit of this age, pastor and writer Nate Pickowicz captioned the clip.
Christian author Larry Farlow commented, How do we know what the right thing is, Chris?
Back in 2018, Cuomo, who is Catholic, mocked folks offering prayers to the families of gun violence victims.
First, I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers, because thats what you do when you offer Thoughts and prayers. You mock those who lost loved ones because if you gave it any thought at all, you would never walk away from any of these without figuring out a better way to deal with them, Cuomo said on CNN airwaves.
And prayer? the host continued, You think leaving it to God is the answer?
So what are you praying for? What would it take? Cuomo asked, bizarrely adding, How about a stadium full of children of the most influential people in our society, all holding puppies. What if they were all shot and killed. Would we act? Oh, dont be ridiculous more ridiculous than doing nothing? Time after time?

He’s a Pope Francis sort of Catholic. Which is to say: not a Christian.
But he finds that nipple rings... help...
Isn’t it about time for Al Neri to take Fredo on a fishing trip?
And then Fredo turns around and berates a person for protecting his property from the mob when it was obvious there was no help from above.
Brain dead, soulless, and ripped is no way to go through life.
He's sort of right. "It" is Jesus and He is indeed within us. And we in Him. It's a mystery to be sure but "On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you." (John 14:20) and "In Him we live and move and have our being." (Acts 17:28).
Pope Francis = Pope in name only = PINO
This “pope” cannot represent Holy deity because those teachings he does NOT follow or teach.
I’m surprised I don’t hear more talk of sedevacantism. It’s not like such a thought began with Francis, but surely there must be an increasing number of Catholics who think the present occupier of the Holy See is not truly the pope.
RE: Im surprised I dont hear more talk of sedevacantism.
There is a small Catholic group that are sedevacantists
They even have a website. See here:
For those who don’t know the term... Sedevacantism is the position held by some people who identify as Catholic that the present occupier of the Holy See is not truly the pope due to the mainstream church’s espousal of what they see as the heresy of modernism and that, for lack of a valid pope, the See has been vacant since the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958.
My friend, you are correct. But let me add, the clock is ticking on all of us and we’d best remember it.
Fredo ad libbing again?
Actually CNN needs some serous divine assistance. Their ratings....
Punchable face.
Chris- You sir need help from above-
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away (Isaiah 64:6).
Such an ignorant fool. We don't live in a democratic state. We live in a Republic. As for forcing beliefs on others, is not the very act of terminating the life of a child forcing your beliefs on them? Is not forcing taxpayers to pay for it forcing your beliefs on them?
As for determining when life starts, a cell from the point of conception is distinguishable by its DNA and also consumes nutrients and gives off waste; in other words - alive.
