I live in southern UT. UT is mainly quite conservative; however, with universities being filled with LIB asshat professors and mush-headed students you do get some worthless “protesters”. The infection is especially noticeable around SLC. Pox on all DIMs/LIBs/leftists.

But Provo? Sad, it is a nice town without much diversity beyond your usual crop of international students and illegals doing the menial jobs that BYU students used to do before there were better opportunities.

Plus it has a big Coors Brewery in a town that is supposed to be about 95% Mormon.

There are clearly TWO shooters.

The first is on the right side and on the sidewalk with the crowd blocking the vehicle. Dressed in black with long sleeves and fires into the vehicle.

The second comes from the left as the vehicle drives away and in a green short sleeve t-shirt. Shoots the rear window.

UPDATE: (June 30, 12:48 a.m. ) -- Police say the man driving a white SUV was pulling into the right turn lane in an attempt to turn onto Center Street when several protesters began crowding the vehicle.

Police said a male protester ran to the passenger side of the SUV, pointed a handgun at the driver and shot one round through the window. The driver was struck by the bullet and fled the scene.

The gunman shot a second round that went through the rear passenger window, according to video obtained by police.

The same protester later approached another vehicle at 500 N. University Avenue and broke the window with the handgun, police stated in a Facebook post.

As of early Tuesday, police had not located the suspect.

According to the Salt Lake Antifascist Coalition’s Facebook page (created July 8, 2014), 21 hours ago John Sullivan of Insurgence “was live — attending Marching For Racial Equality with Church Fountain and 16 others at Provo Police Department: Alathea Kennick, Serena Kathleen Maxwell, Mack Barton, Austin Gillespie, Jared Stanger, Jake Siolo, Peggy Hayes, Matt Caputo, Claire Donskey, Samantha Tse, Elly Swedberg, Ammon Roberts, Nicol Powleena, Daniel Quick, Jake Arter, Dave Dennis”. They’ve also recently organized protests over the May 23 death of Bernardo Palacios. The page voices support for Antifa and Black Livese Matter and shows they have done joint fundraising with Insurgence.

The protest started about two hours earlier, with approximately 100 people gathered in Pioneer Park in downtown Salt Lake City. There, organizer John Sullivan with Insurgence News urged those who know racism is wrong and that inequities exist in society to put their words into actions. Sullivan told the crowd that he was adopted by white parents and saw firsthand how people treated him differently than they treated his parents. “I would walk into a store and people would follow me, thinking I was stealing stuff,” Sullivan said. He wasn’t, and it wasn’t fair for him to be profiled, then stalked and stopped for it, he said. Another speaker from the group said it will be calling for boycotts of certain businesses. Victoria Sethunya’s voice shook as she spoke about the importance of immigrants’ rights. The Salt Lake Antifascist Coalition looks to be an outgrowth of an earlier coalition called Salt Lake Activist Mobilization (SLAM) that organized around punk rock performances in the area and passed out Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) material at their events. They hosted an Antifascist Fest in June 2019 in conjunction with Pride Fest. They commemorated the Stonewall Riots while promoting "anti-Capitalist Pride disruption."

Better statement of what happened - driver pulled into right turn lane. Perp shot into vehicle striking driver. Driver attempted to leave, the same perp then ran to the rear of the vehicle and shot again striking the passenger side window. The perp then blended into the protestors:

I would like to challenge the ‘protestors” who say they have a right to immediately kill someone they perceive a threat, why that doesn’t also apply to police officers?
