So the father wants the police defunded, yet he wants the authorities to close down CHAZ because his kid would not have been killed if the police were there. Can’t have it both ways. Typical liberal illogic.
The mayor is responsible morally for the murder. She allowed, encouraged and assisted the occupiers in occupying property they don’t own. What needs to happen there is what happens in any hostage situation. Police go in and restore order.
The innocent individuals who live or work there have a definite case against the mayor, who is responsible for ALL the losses within the zone.
Anyone who lived there and was forced out is due compensation for his loss: the entire rent that he paid in the zone and in any place where he was forced to live, the lost wages, the pain, anguish and suffering, the destroyed property.
Agree with you. They’re looking for someone else to pull their irons out of the fire. Then when some unpleasantness happens (like a violent confrontation between a Guardsman and a protester) they’ll blame Trump, the National Guard, whoever - and call for dissolution of the National Guard.

My foreign born wife is baffled by this. The only explanation I can offer is the mayor and governor can’t do anything about it because this is their political power base.
