Harken back four years ago and recall how the media confidently predicted a Hillary Clinton landslide electoral victory over Donald Trump. They held firm to this prediction even when the election was all but over.
At 10:20 PM ET on November 8, 2016, election night, the New York Times confidently proclaimed, in the manner of Baghdad Bob, that Hillary Clinton had an 85 percent chance of winning the election. Long faces and tears graced cable news election night coverage shows by then and Hillary probably was on her second bottle of chardonnay, drowning her sorrows over a coronation that was not meant to be. Yet the paper of record continued to push the big lie.
Last week Politico reassured its Beltway audience that, Biden extends lead over Trump amid protests. Citing a Fox News Poll of 1343 registered voters, they giddily reported Biden with a 12-point lead.
They did not survey likely voters as more accurate pollsters such as Rasmussen Reports does, but those simply appearing on voter rolls, even if many of them dont turn out to vote on election day.
Of those surveyed the self-described political affiliation was 47 percent Democrat and 41 percent Republican, a six-point swing favoring the DNC medias preferred candidate. When respondents were asked who they would vote for, 50 percent said Biden while 38 percent said Trump. Take away the Democrat oversampling and its only a 6-point margin.
Panic time for Republicans. This must be it for Trump and his supporters. How can Trump overcome a double-digit deficit to the Democrat candidate? Just look at Trumps Tulsa rally with empty seats despite over a million ticket requests.

That’s right. Most consumers continue to believe the surveys. So answering polling companies in favor of Democrats is stupid and will cost us the election. The bandwagon approach is very effective. Many voters will even vote for whomever they believe to be winning.
Answer in favor of President Trump and conservative values. Don’t further demoralize our side and encourage the Democrats.
I left that out because voter fraud isn’t media controlled, it’s DNC and machine politics controlled.
Although I do admit that the dividing lines between the media and the DNC are rather...tenuous (is that the word I want?)
Nope it wasn’t me... I know because the surveys we used would allow for only a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response or would only allow for a selection from ‘a, b, c’...etc.
THAT’S how they get around producing an actual realistic and truthful poll of public opinion.
The media is just following orders from their Chi-Com masters. It ain’t Russia/Russia. Its Chi-Com,Chi-Com!
Hint it aint the Russians/Russians controlling our media and trashing our president 24/7~
It is the Chi-Coms and their hidden corporate ownership/Control of ABCNNBCBS!
Curious Why US News Networks Are Supportive of Chinese Government? Just Look at the Corporate Ownership
Today, we are seeing it play out on our shores. The corporate media complex has to follow the directives of the Chi-Com authorities, or significant economic punishment could be realized by the parent companies. Now roll in their already rooted antagonism for President Trump and the bizarre narratives we have been fed begin to make much more sense.
My theory is that anti-Trump polls are the established medias way of making the Presidential election more of a rat race.
A ton of advertising dollars on both sides are at stake.
If the truth was published: that Biden is getting his butt kicked, political advertising would crash since the public would lose interest in the contest.
This helps to explain why even WSJ and Fox polls show Biden leading.
Interesting story from Forbes on the billions spent on advertising.
Just look at all the BS articles posted daily/weekly on FR showing how Trump and we are losing.
OHHH..they learned alot....they now know that the Dems have to stuff the ballot box 3-4 times more then they did in 2016 to make their polls correct...
Some are, some are not. I formerly participated in Zogby’s polling. It was internet based. I used to get a poll every week. It would ask me about 10 qualifying questions. In addition to political questions, there would also be questions about other random things like which peanut butter do you prefer, etc.
It always asked me IF I voted in the last election, who I voted for. If I planned to vote in the next election. Then socio economic questions on income, location in suburbs, married, children, etc.
This 1920 column, titled Bayard vs. Lionheart is here:
And here's the relevant text with my comments in brackets:
He may slide into office once or twice, but soon or late he is bound to be held up, examined and incontinently kicked out [by the Media and Permanent State]. This leaves the field to the intellectual jelly-fish and inner tubes [Bidens].
But when a candidate for public office faces the voters he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental - men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand.
So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack, or count himself lost. His one aim is to disarm suspicion, to arouse confidence in his orthodoxy, to avoid challenge. If he is a man of convictions, of enthusiasm, of self-respect, this is cruelly hard to do.
The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by the force of his personality.
But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre [Romney, Obama and Biden] - the men who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum [Biden++++]
The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a DOWNRIGHT MORON [BIDEN!].
But what Mencken could not foresee is that an honorable and competent guy like Trump, who had a national personality that was trusted and known long before he ran for public office, could win and not get booted out prematurely.
And it was Trump's personality and fame that allowed him to side with the "silent majority" of citizens who also vote with their emotions and were appalled at where the politicians and Democrat mob were taking the country.

Thanks poconopundit.
What also emerged w/ Trump’s win was his insistence that “we” were all going to do this and that.
“You and I” are going to do it exposed Trump’s willingness to let the people have a say about what his governance would accomplish.
Under the guise of better serving the American people through government, Obama signed an executive order last year calling for federal agencies and departments to deploy emerging behavioral science techniques against the public.
The Obama order also establishes a Social and Behavioral Sciences Team charged with applying psychological research to manipulate the beliefs and behaviors of Americans under various pretexts, and guide the vast federal bureaucracy as it hones its abilities to manipulate the public. --SNIP--
12 H.L. Mencken Quotes on Government, Democracy, and Politicians
Every election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods.
A good politician is quite as unthinkable as an honest burglar.
A politician is an animal which can sit on a fence and yet keep both ears to the ground.
Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.
Democracy is also a form of worship. It is the worship of jackals by jackasses.
Democracy is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage.
Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.
Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under.
If a politician found he had cannibals among his constituents, he would promise them missionaries for dinner.
For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Well we’ll see come November if they learned anything or not.
Totally agree, the “we” message engaged the silent majority beautifully. “I am your voice!” in Washington...
And this echoes a cardinal rule in direct mail advertising: engage the reader with conversational talk. Insert a question in the text, and use “you” to reinforce the idea of speaking directly to a person.
bfl....Thanks pocono
Modern day Pravda. The beltway media use to speak as the voice of the people. It’s now the mouthpiece of the ruling elites.
A new group of Patriots have arisen to free the country from the robber barrons who have destroyed the very Republic they claimed to represent.
Keep on polling......
