s governments nationwide move forward with plans to shift funds away from law enforcement in the aftermath of George Floyd's police-involved death last month, Los Angeles CEO Sachi Hamai has put forward a proposed budget with recommendations to cut some $145.4 million allocated to local police. The bid, which would entail eliminating six units from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, earned a sharp rebuke from County Sheriff Alex Villanueva over the weekend. The budget cuts are targeted specifically to hurt public safety while sparing virtually every other function of county government from any reductions," Villanueva stated. "These cuts come at a time when jails were de-populated of over five thousand inmates in order to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that restrictions are lifting, violent crimes, such as murder, are on the rise across the County. Now is not the time to cut vital law enforcement services, that should be the last thing cut."
The CEO's proposed budget, as per the LASD, recommends the following LASD units be eliminated:
Safe Streets Bureau (Gang Enforcement)
Parks Bureau
Special Victims Bureau (Sexual/Physical Abuse of Children, Rape, Human Trafficking)
Community Partnership Bureau (COPS Team)

There goes the TV show. They won’t have any cases to write their scripts from.
Help me out here.
LA has a “CEO”?
Cutting the police in a crime wave (Antifa) seems like a great idea.
What could go wrong?
Seems legit, should work out well.
Another vacation destination of the list
Rapists are delighted.
“There goes the TV show.”
Already gone.
It was cancelled a few weeks before the new season was to begin.

Live PD is gone too.
Both shows were called “too polarizing.”
It’s a fancy title for what flyover country calls a county executive.
My last vacation there was in the eighties. It’s been off the list a while.
“Help me out here.
LA has a CEO?
Sounded odd to me as well. I looked it up, this position functions as a financial master planner of sorts leading the Board of Supervisors around by their noses since they aren’t capable enough to do it.
Got it. Unfortunately, we have those.
Imagine a world when America was filled with Mogadishu like cities...............
So do we.
But at least ours doesn’t use the fancy title.
Who’s going to pay for that wish list when those that pay the bills leave you there with your mess you put yourself into?
“Imagine no Hell below us, above us only sky...”
Liberal scum will reap what they sow.
I just feel bad for the decent people that will be hurt.
DICK Wolf working on “Social Worker Law and Order” the first show will be about a Black lesbian Social Worker who is new to the LASWPD. She thinks she should go undercover as a nun to “prove” the Catholic Church is racist. Her boss, a tough no nonsense transgendered Mexican undocumented “citizen” “man” wants her to investigate a small pocket of openly conservative unrepentant Americans. The script is being finalized now but a leaked copy of the LA Times review calls it the break out hit of the season.
