St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is contemplating whether a pair of married lawyers broke any laws on Sunday when they aimed firearms at nonviolent protesters who were walking past the couple's Central West End mansion en route to a protest at the nearby house of Mayor Lyda Krewson.
In multiple videos, including one that had more than 13 million views by Monday morning, Mark and Patricia McCloskey are seen aiming their weapons at the protestors. Mark McCloskey is shown holding an assault-style rifle, while Patricia is seen holding a semiautomatic pistol. It is unclear if either gun is loaded.
Gardner issued a statement late Monday morning, stating that she was "alarmed at the events that occurred over the weekend, where peaceful protesters were met by guns and a violent assault." She added that her office is "currently working with the public and police to investigate these events."
Gardner concluded her statement with these words: "Make no mistake: we will not tolerate the use of force against those exercising their First Amendment rights, and will use the full power of Missouri law to hold people accountable."
The protestors on Sunday were headed to Krewson's house to demand the first-term mayor's resignation for releasing the names and addresses of people who had called for defunding the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
You can use deadly force if you have a reasonable fear of imminent serious bodily harm or death. They can most certainly make that argument. I can’t see any jury convicting them for defending themselves against a large, trespassing, armed violent mob which threatened them.
do not mix your recruiting/supporting with your assets/fighting.
I read this morning that Missouri has the best Castle Doctrine laws in the country. The analysis this morning said they were on firm legal ground under their CD laws and they had rights to defend their property as soon as the trespassers set foot on it, especially with obvious hostile intent.
We’ll see.
OK Kim, investigate this...
The gate and the private property sign.

This is what they did to the gate he was talking about in the News interview.

Dont know about Missouri but in Texas you can if its dark outside, dont even have to warn them
I saw the guy on TV tonight, and he said that he supports Black Lies Matter. In other words, as long as they were terrorizing and destroying other people’s neighborhoods, they were OK with that. They just didn’t want the rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists in their neighborhood.
I DON’T THINK YOU BELONG ON THIS FORUM....
there ARE MANY MARXISTS SITES OUT THERE THAT WOULD WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS!!! Besides, you are not paying attention and when you open your mouth here....everyone sees your stupidity.
One of the protestors was pointing there weapon at the home owners. They did nothing wrong.
They also donated to Demonrats.
He’s going to have the couple on his show tonight (Tue)
Soros is funding DA’S and elected judge position as well as Attorneys General of states.
If you try to donate to BLM, the link goes to ActBlue and can be used to help Biden.
The mob trespassed on private property.
This is a gated community and the street belong to the home owners
As well as the gate they broke down to gain access.
They rushed the couple who were in their yard eating.
The mob threatened to kill them.
A large violent mob can kill an old couple like them quickly by beating them to death.
So yes, the mob you are making excuses for did break laws.
So do you support Black Lives Matter?
Are they a peaceful organization?
Well the mob did threaten to kill them.
So the video showing them breaking down the gate was fake?
As clearly seen on Tucker’s show last night, “brandishing” a weapon just outside their front door was the only thing that kept the mob from charging their residence, a restored mansion. That the mob was so close to them, clearly they were on the owners property and if they were not showing being armed, would have been attacked.
Who cares if it was a MANSION or not; it is their HOME!
Why emphasize NONVIOLENT?
Why be 'allowed' to have your OWN gun on your OWN property if you can't POINT it at a potential threat you your life?
On your OWN property?
