As face masks become a societal norm, many people are speaking out against those who are choosing not to wear them, and some critics say that wearing a mask may determine how smart you are.
John Lundin, a self-described environmental activist and author, recently tweeted, A mask is not a political statement. Its an IQ test. His tweet was met with many comments of support.
A recent Gallup/Knight Foundation poll that asked, In the past 7 days, how often did you wear a mask or cloth face covering outside your home? showed that 30% of high school graduates, 41% of college graduates and 46% of postgraduates always wear masks.

Another state is preparing to mandate masks indoors in businesses and will do so, unless the case rate decreases very soon. Not saying which state. It’s a surprise.
And by the way, business managers are the ones pushing for it. Popcorn time. ;D
This was not about how effective the mask was ... this was about humanity....something we should never forfeit no matter how righteous we are.
One stinkin’ mask worn for 2 minutes would have saved an elderly woman from pure fright. Have we decided freedom loving conservatives no longer need to consider other humans? Is this how we’ve evolved?
So Ive actually spoken with public health experts who agree with my position.
Ee has turned into the biggest douchebag this state elected! Worthless. Waiting to see when he will give into the mob and change his racist last name?
So stupid a ‘meme’.
Masks/etc should be used by those with at-risk loved ones in their household.
No one wants to think they killed their loved one.
That’s just a terrible thing.
So dont wear one.
You seem to think anyone gives a shit what you want.
Of course, just like any other child who tosses a fit, eventually when they are hungry they will eat. If you can shop, and work without wearing one...thats good for you. But if you cannot, its a good plan to have one in the car for when you need to get food.
Where I live, people have been pretty good about wearing them. Mass is one of four states where the rate of decline has been fairly constant. Almost everything is open again. For the time in retail stores today, I had a mask on for 18 minutes. No exactly getting dragged to Auschwitz.
But you guys can do what makes you feel good.
How much time do spend in a mask every day?
I have been measuring....over the past week its about 17 minutes a day.
Not exactly nuts.....
would love to see the infection rate of those who wear masks more then an hour at a time....they are petri dishes that actualy will make a person more likely to get infected by corvid or something else. I will wear one shopping because it prevents spit transfer and that is Questionable whether it is helpful more then it is another vector to get infected it scares me when I see people mandated to wear them to operate a business. like I said petri dishes.
Good for you, what do you want....a cookie? (10 pts to anyone that picks up the obscure reference)
Good object lesson tonight.
The “killer flu” has a survivability rate of @ 98.5%
I went out to the car and being raised by a hunter, noticed the slightest movement where there should not have been one.
Walked closer and saw fur half covered in leaves, by a downed tree.
Thought a cat was dying in my lane.
Another two steps closer and the ears popped up.
Raccoon, flailing about and furiously biting its own ass end.
Now I’m less than 7 feet away and it stops biting itself and starts to try and drag itself towards me.
Rabies.
100% fatal.
Everything is relative.
Not worried about the “killer flu” when I have rabid animals in my damn lane.
Neighbor came up to see what the shooting was about and told me he found a dead coon in his yard last week and the guy across the road saw one staggering around his yard, as well.
[why he didn’t shoot it is beyond me...is the one I killed the one he didn’t bother with? If so, thanks a LOT]
Wow, fun day haha
Yah.
Hilarity ensued.
Now I’m out reconning every inch of the back yard just to let my dogs out.
“Normal people” would have never even seen that coon lying there and my back yard has some spots with similar cover for God forbid, another.
/and hubby always asks why I own so many machetes
Yea growing up hunting tunes you into those small movements or out of place colorings or shapes. Glad you found it and got rid of it. As far as recon well in a way thats kinda fun also!
I may stop by my local ‘Republican’ headquarters soon to share my opinion of the Governor with party toadies.
If I had a dollar for every time I said to city slicker hubby “You don’t/can’t see that?!?” I’d be rich.
:D
Yet. God is judging America, and it WILL get worse.
You guys all seem to think I want YOU to wear masks. Honestly, I dont. I rather enjoy Watching your principled stances cause your states to be shut down longer. I do t want to see anyone die. But, watching you all freak out is entertaining as hell.
I am sure.
And I thought the left was full of drama queens.
Full of atheists, as well.
