A New York Times/Siena College poll finds that Joseph R. Biden Jr. is ahead of the president by 14 points, leading among women and nonwhite voters and cutting into his support with white voters.

I think we need to start publishing corrections to polls in an effort to better understand what is actually going on.
The original poll by NYT Sienna oversampled democrats with 38% Democrats and 28%. In the 2016 exit polls the ratio was actually 36% Dem and 33% Republican. In the NYT 2020 poll independents broke 59% for Biden and 41% for Trump. IN 2016, Independents went 46% for Trump and 42% for HRC.
If we actually attempt to factor in the enthusiasm gap apparent in the primary results, Biden is losing in a landslide. But by their own polling assumptions, Biden has no significant lead at all.

OK...if Karens and BLMs are bent on having this country RUINED and run by THUGS and RIOTERS and LOOTERS, and that’s how they want to live, I can only say FU, you STUPID people!
What decent Republican is going to answer an unsolicited call and then discuss their personal political opinions and preferences with a stranger? These polls are simply not reliable.
Everyone go out and vote in November. Polls are worthless on election day.

I have never been polled....
I think poll numbers are made up...
There were also about 125 ppl unaccounted for when broken down by party affiliation.
Not a single pollster will reveal the number of non-respondents (although they will list 10 pages of stats for "poll internals"), and these non-respondents would be overwhelmingly silent Trump voters. The "shy Trump voter" was a real thing in 2016, and there would easily be ten times that number for 2020.

I do believe we are behind. Trump has been off message and off balance. That being said, hes not behind by 14 points. Ridiculous on its face.
I disagree. I refuse to listen to the media narrative. He talks about America First still. The border, trade deals. He also talks about a strong military, law and order and opening up the country. Factor in conservative judges, and what other message do you need?

The only poll I’d like to see is this:
How many Republicans/conservatives will cooperate with pollsters in any way at all? Even in polls that don’t involve Trump in any way.
Most women are leftists. At least one in Trump's own family, in fact.

I do not even answer the phone for an unknown number. I would never answer any polling questions. How many others are like that? How valid can these polls be?
If you're going to do this as a service to FreeRepublic, I'd ask that you show your work. Explain the data used to do the correction, and the calculations that get you from the poll result to your corrected result.

Doesn’t have anything to do with decency. It is about thinking. I won’t even answer republican polls, too easy to fake a number or lie about affiliation. Unless I have assumed room temp on election day, my vote goes to Trump.
