Rough polling stretch has GOP operatives asking: Could Trump drop out? ( BARF ALERT! )

Some GOP operatives are wondering if the president could drop out of the presidential race if his poll numbers don't improve.

A stretch of lackluster polling for President Trump has some Republican operatives nervous about the president’s reelection prospects in November – with some even floating the possibility for the first time that Trump could drop out if his poll numbers don’t rebound.

“It’s too early, but if the polls continue to worsen, you can see a scenario where he drops out,” one GOP operative who asked to remain anonymous told Fox News.

Trump’s poll numbers in recent weeks have trended downward amid criticism over his administration’s handling of the coronavirus epidemic and the White House response to the protests and riots following the death of George Floyd in late May while in Minneapolis police custody.

A recent Fox News poll had the president trailing Democrat Joe Biden by 12 points, while a RealClearPolitics average of polls had Trump down almost 10 points to the former vice president. Biden also was leading Trump in many key battleground states, and polls from Republican strongholds such as Texas had Trump and Biden neck-and-neck.

If they do that I’m walking...probably never voting again. From my perspective, at that point it’s bug out or the bullet box, no other options.

I suspect there are as many as 10 million former Republican voters just like me. See how well they do when that happens...Democrat super majorities in both houses, the deep state victorious once and for all...Soros will have a monarch’s power.

Fine, let’s rumble in the streets and “burn it all down“ ourselves.

The rule of opposites.

If you want the truth imagine the exact opposite of what the mass media is telling you.

Translation: Biden is thinking of dropping out of the race!

We all pretty much know that almost every single Congressional Republican wants Trump gone. They are just looking for any excuse, be it sagging poll numbers, or this Russia bounty business.

I smell Romney.

I think absent the Muller investigation and the Ryan Resistors Trump might have accomplished a lot more early on and chosen not to run for a second term. The Cheeto-Haters may have done nothing more than guaranteeing they have to look at him for four more years. :)

We elected a president...a great problem solver, nothing but wanting right for the people and knowing how it could be done. He never understood, really I think, that the government doesn’t want problems solved, nor does the government want what’s best for the people or the nation.

He was all alone on an island.

We elected a president when, in truth, we needed a revolution.

Well Romney stinks to high heaven, so I don’t doubt he’s wafting your way.

It could very well be when it’s all said and done that Trump’s greatest contribution was planting seeds that would grow after he leaves the White House.

I think even if, he doesn’t win, many will still see him as a Symbol, and his stature will grow with time, as people understand all the BS that was thrown at him.

I still believe Trump will win, but even if he doesn’t, I hope he would still be active and lead “The Resistance”, and help grow a new generation of like-minded individuals to one day lead this country, (if we still have a country, that is)

New polls show that Trump trails Biden by 50 points...75% to 25%.
Advisers telling President to go into seclusion in remote cabin to escape the shame.

Gasparino is a Cavuto tool. Both are part of the anti-Trump cabal found in Fox News.

This.

I think Trump thought of it as a hostile takeover in business. Dismiss the Board (the 16 candidates), appoint a small executive staff, and the managers (Members of Congress and bureaucrats) report Monday morning, hope they still have jobs, and ask the new boss for their orders.

There is a very real possibility we’re seeing the beginnings of a GOP “Palace Coup”.

To what end?

Yep, when I read that Cheney Tweet, I thought, “Oh s—t, it’s on!”

Or perhaps Ms. Cheney fancies herself expert on all things military --- just like dear ole dad.

I sure as hell don’t see the Party uniting behind him when they need to the most. That speaks volumes.

Yes, but about which side?

We know no such thing because it isn't true.

What if the did this? The GOP is on life support now. It would pretty much seal the coffin for them.

Again, to what end? Neither of these fools would win. Neither would they energize the base to come out and vote for a republican congress.

Only if they want to lose all three ... the WH, the Senate and the House would "they" run anyone but Trump.
