Minneapolis has elected two black transgender representatives to its City Council, adding to what advocacy groups have described as a banner election for transgender people in public office.
Andrea Jenkins easily won the race Tuesday night for an open seat in South Minneapolis, with roughly 73 percent of the vote. Jenkins, a 56-year-old poet and historian who transitioned in her 30s, spent years as a policy aide to two previous council members in the same ward.
Phillipe Cunningham’s victory took longer because of Minneapolis’ instant-runoff voting system. But by Wednesday afternoon, the city announced Cunningham — a 29-year old transgender man who had worked in the mayor’s office — had unseated the North Side seat’s longtime incumbent and current council president, Barb Johnson.

I continue to be amazed that a seemingly normal city (just been there to work with clients) had such radical politics. It seems to be giving Seattle a run for title of crazy politics

Since childhood, I’d always seen descent into perversion as a precursor of decline in all great civilizations; even the late judge Bork confirmed that this sequence of events is a historical phenomenon. As a Bible-believing Christian, I’ve been expecting something like this for decades precisely because the end-time collapse is prophesied along with a resurgence of “Sodom.”
Knowing it would happen doesn’t make it any less depressing to actually see it.
It’s definitely OVER . And I can now understand more than ever why married couples don’t want to procreate . Their kids - especially if white - would live in hell on earth .

I have a 16 yr old and an 8 yr old grandsons. I have no idea what they will have to do or fight or endure..in their lifetime. They will not know the life that was... i have told them they have to be different than the world.
