The empire of Rome was destroyed from within and the empire of Twitter is falling in the same way.
The social media giant has caused a tidal wave of an exodus to its more conservative competitor Parler after it deleted two popular conservative accounts and began adding disclaimers to the tweets of President Donald Trump.
This week alone, according to analytics researched by Mediate, around a half a million people have migrated to Parler.
The increase brings the total number of accounts on the platform, which was co-founded in 2018 by John Matze and Jared Thomson, to 1.5 million.
Parler is a non-biased free speech driven entity. Our goal is to offer the world a platform that protects users rights, supports publishers and builds online communities, the website says of itself.
Parler aims to empower users to control their social experience. Users can be responsible to engage content as they see fit. We are not regulators. We are not governors. We are a community, it says.
Parler accepts your right to express your thoughts, opinions and ideals online. Just like in society, Parler interactions are subject to guidelines; and when you respect them, you are free to participate wholly, it says.
The account surge came after Twitter banned well-known meme-maker Carpe Donktum and locked National Pulse editor Raheem Kassams account.
It also came after Twitter put a disclaimer on a tweet from President Trump that said There will never be an Autonomous Zone in Washington, D.C., as long as Im your President. If they try they will be met with serious force!

I don’t do twitter, but I’ll have to check out Parler.
Here is PARLER’s WEBSITE:

Thanks for this. I have never subscribed to Twitter or FB for obvious reasons but I may look into it.
I hope the POTUS switches completely, that would make the media follow him there...or would they just ignore it Probaby.
I went over to Parler!
I’m checking it out now.
Twitter is a cesspool of HATE!
You cannot sign into Parler without a Smartphone - they send an SMS message for account activation.
No Smartphone, you don’t get to play.
I read the Parler people are doing a number of interface updates over the next few months to improve usability, especially for the mobile app.
Fake news!
I use the Parler website with just an iMac. Cell phone is NOT required!
I was on Parler last night. There’s no “tidal wave”. It might shave off 5% of market share. But if your favorite banned conservative (such as Laura Loomer) is no longer on Twitter, you may find them on Parler. Ted Cruz signed up this month. Eric Trump and “Team Trump” are on it.
I signed in with the number for my landline. Then they called me and gave me my log-in code verbally, and it worked.
Must be an iMac thing, because a PC won’t allow it.
RE:I was on Parler last night. Theres no tidal wave.
Regardless, Competition is good.
It will keep the other side honest. You don’t give us what we want, we don’t need to patronize you.
AARP has its competitor in AMAC.
OANN, NewsMax compete with Fox News and MSNBC and CNN
Citizen Free Press now competes with the now disappointing Drudge Report.
Let a hundred flowers bloom ! This is what this country is all about.
I’m one of the refugees to Parler. Much better UI, reads like Jim Robinson and Twitter had a baby and Jim got full custody after proving that Twitter was abusive and psycho.
I signed up at Parler last week.
I looked into Parler, and it requires your phone # to sign up, apparently for verification. That’s caused me to pause.
And answer me, why is my statement “fake news”?
Or don’t you know what you’re talking about?
At this hour, even the app is demanding phone verification via SMS (I used a non-SMS capable old phone to try it).
If anyone has a workaround that is free of standard FR snark flames and verbal insults, I’d be pleased to hear it.
Otherwise, STFU
