Tucker Carlson misreads Trump’s pre-election strategy: Tucker is missing the important choice Trump is forcing on Americans
American Thinker ^ | 06/26/2020 | Andrea Widburg

Since 2020’s craziness began, Tucker Carlson has been brilliant. He’s talked us through speech-killing political correctness and “cancel culture,” a health panic that leftist politicians have used to break Trump supporters, and racism as bad as that during the Jim Crow era only with the races reversed. Carlson is always unafraid to tell the truth.

When the riots started, between his job at Fox News and his home base in Washington, D.C., Carlson has had a front-row seat for the spectacle of leftist protesters systematically destroying property and America’s heritage. It is a demoralizing show.

This demoralization was front and center in Carlson’s monologue on Thursday night. He opened by saying there’s a good chance that Trump can lose the election, making Biden president. (Were that to happen, I believe America would become the first country ever knowingly to elect to its highest office a man with dementia.)

Carlson’s conclusion didn’t arise because the polls show that the basement-dwelling Biden, who’s trotted out every few days to prove he’s still alive, is soaring in the polls. After all, voters remember 2016 and Hillary’s lead. Carlson did observe that the Trump team is worried, but that wasn’t driving Carlson’s pessimism.

Instead, what concerned Carlson is that the Republicans have been supine in their response, first, to the lockdowns and, second, to the violent protests leftists have brought to America’s streets. He noted that Republican politicians were caught flatfooted because they are so naïve they can’t believe that the lockdowns and the riots are a planned and systemic attack on America’s conservative voters. They have therefore stood on the sidelines, he said, abandoning Americans to the mob.

To illustrate, Carlson played a disturbing call a panicked mother in Fredericksburg, Virginia, made to 911 when the mob trapped her in her car,

The Democrat run cities and states are suffering deep trauma at the hands of anti-American domestic terrorists, and the Democrat politicians are enabling it - cheering them on - revealing themselves as liars and fools.

That's where you're wrong, the Democrats aren't cheering it on, THEY ARE CONTROLLING IT! Understand what that means. As soon as Trump is gone, that all goes away. And people are figuring that out, and even knowing it, will agree to "pay the ransom" and vote Trump out.

I agree. The Leftists have been baiting Trump since Day One of the marauding mobs.

The backlash when he threatened to end it was priceless. He then wisely reached out to the Leftist Regimes to say that federal assistance was there if they wanted to end the looting, arson, and violence.

The crickets from The Left spoke volumes. Anyone who watched the events of the past month can see that they have a very clear choice in November. That is unless they’re too blind or brainwashed to see it.

Tucker Carlson has to stay on the air through Election Night without becoming another DNC stooge.

Exactly, they are holding the country hostage

What Trump needs to do is go after the organizers, politician, celebs, anyone who is supporting this domestic terrorism with either money, gear or muscle

You cut off the head of the snake, it all falls apart.

BLM and Antifa are the same, both are terrorist organizations.

Trump needs to go “scorched Earth”, even if he doesn’t win.

At least it would decrease the legimitacy of the next Administration. We must start thinking in terms of being “The Resistance”.

There ain’t nothing like a “forced choice” to make American hearts sing!

Tucker’s got a point - it would be wise to ditch the “rope-a-dope” plan, it’s not helping.

A smart guy like Tucker Carlson “doesn’t get it”, but to the average Homer Simpson voter out there Trump’s strategy will be crystal clear and they’ll get it? Okay...I guess...

Good point

I think going after the organizers, the money and the helpful media who is allowing or parroting terrorist threats is where Trump should go.

Cut off the head of the snake so to speak.

This whole thing would fall apart

Do what the democrat governors/mayors/police chiefs won’t do, show everyone how easy it was and the violence ends.

Lock em up, and if the trail somehow leads to George Soros or Obama, lock them up as well. Inciting a riot is illegal, funding it is racketeering, supporting/legitimizing illegal behavior through a fake media could also be a RICO statue as well.

Perspective, the average homer simpson doesn’t live in DC

It is all perspective

The average homer simpson sees this crap on TV and wondering why the local police force got up and left.

The average homer simpson is looking to protect themselves from the mob, gun purchases are up right now

Perspective

Tucker brings in the DC perspective, he is in the beltway, it does crazy things to your mind.

Remember polling is false right now

You have mobs in the streets threatening to kill you or light your house of fire, you are not going to give some strange caller on the other end of the phone info that you are a trump supporter.

This is poll suppression right now

What happens in the voting both is going to be a different story

Unless you shoot the kidnapper, your only other option is to pay the ransom. And it appears as if Americans will have no choice but to "pay the ransom".

“Unless you shoot the kidnapper, your only other option is to pay the ransom. And it appears as if Americans will have no choice but to “pay the ransom”.”

I think this, from Red State, sums up things well:

“Trump has to retake the initiative. The case for Trump was never to sit back and watch the country devolve into chaos. Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz could have done that with a lot less consternation about their tweeting. Trump was not elected for his awesome personality or ability to bring the country together. People know that, and I don’t think anyone is pretending that’s who he is. He was elected precisely to avoid moments like we are currently in. It’s not a coincidence that his failure to take action over the last month has led to his worst approval ratings in recent memory. Meanwhile, Trump was tweeting about Carly Fiorina yesterday, someone most swing voters don’t even know exists.

Many will scoff at Carlson’s warning, but they ignore him at their own peril. Even assuming every single poll is fake, including Trump’s internal polls which also show him losing, wouldn’t you rather be safe than sorry? Every Trump supporter should be treating this election like he actually is down 10 points (which is his current RCP average deficit). Over-confidence and assumptions about the economy rebounding or a “silent majority” are how you wake up with Joe Biden as President-elect in November. That’s a reality the country can’t afford.”

Trump underestimated how the Rats are willing to play hardball.

They control all the institutions: Media, Education, Churches.

You don’t vote them out of those.

Sen. Tom Cotton understands that Trump, by sticking to his federalist principles, is making a point. As Cotton’s new video states, “Elect Joe Biden and the anarchy will be coming to a town near you.”

Agree. Unlike the Pubbies of the past Trump understands showing real life
consequences and not just long winded speeches.

Like Cotton and see him being a candidate I could stand with if he ran for POTUS

And also, the Repukes want him to fail too.

If they had his back, we wouldn’t be here. But true, I suppose Trump really isn’t a Republican anyway.

If worse comes to worse, and he does lose in November, there needs to be a new party, and I think Trump could still be useful in that regard.

“That’s where you’re wrong, the Democrats aren’t cheering it on, THEY ARE CONTROLLING IT!“

Are you sure? Joe Biden is at the very top of the Democrat ticket - do you really think he is controlling anything? Nancy Pelosi? Chuck Schumer? Cuomo?

No, they are empty shells. They have been coopted by radicals and are being used as useful idiots by those really in control of this movement - globalist Marxist radicals who want to reduce us to rubble and ashes.

You are right that the Democrat party is their foot-in-the-door. All Democrats need to be defeated - that is for sure.

Biden is a figurehead. But the Deep State Democrats in the DNC are running the show and have been for a long time, even Obama was pretty much a figurehead. He’s dumb as a stump.

-- There would have been overflow crowds in Tulsa. --

The gauntlet to get into the venue had two stages. A health check set up by the city, then the usual secret service security check. Reports say the city shut down the health check "early."

I don't have a sense that Trump has lost much in the way of support. I wonder how much support his opposition has gained.

Also, I don't how the public could possibly "see" the level of support, given the press is agitprop.
