An overwhelming majority of Americans say they've worn a face mask in public in the last week, as the coronavirus pandemic persists and infections reach new highs in more than a dozen states, a new ABC News/Ipsos poll finds.
Nearly nine in 10 Americans (89%) who left their home in the last week said they wore a face mask or a face covering, compared to only 11% who said they did not.

WHY WEAR A MASK?
It is beyond Dumb
I put the damn thing on in stores, that’s it. Because it is more convenient for me to comply than to find a store with a different policy. NOT because a fat assed governor said to.

People need to know, the mask mandate is actually a way of conditioning the public for further mandates to come.
If they can make you wear a mask in order to enter business establishments, it will not seem as big a leap come November, when they require that you get a vaccination (plus a microscopic tattoo id for verification) in order to enter business establishments.
Let everyone know, mandatory vaccinations are coming, so we need to organize ahead of time and say no with one voice when the time comes.
We are not wearing what doctors and nurses wear.
Bandanas and self-made ones is what everyone is wearing around these parts. Definitely not N95 or N99.

I have to for a work and I strongly dislike it. Especially wearing a mask outside when it’s quite hot. But it’s the rules and I respect my boss so I comply. I also wore one so my kids could see the dentist, orthodontist and doctor.
My shopping habits have changed as I refuse to wear one outside of work or a clinic. We are remodeling our kitchen and Menards has lost money because of their mask requirement.
I wore one to the doctor last week but, they had to give me another one when I got there because, I wrote OBEY with a magic marker.... that marker ink got me so dang buzzed.

Mandatory in Florida, but only in certain towns/counties, like Orange county/ Metro Orlando.
The early hypothesis that (cough) “people with a more flamboyant lifestyle” (cough) are more at risk from this certainly seems true, since the stats from surrounding counties are less than 20 dead and the Metro area (including Kissimmee and Walt Dizzy W) is extremely high.
I’ll wear a mask when they drape it over my cold, dead lips.

About an hour is all I can tolerate without beginning to feel short of breath and generally uncomfortable.
I don’t believe this. Maybe some areas are over compensating but I see plenty not wearing masks in the south particularly younger people.
I see about 50%, if that many, in north Atlanta and in north Alabama, much less.
I had to wear for my physical and when viewing homes for sale.
