I laugh, hope they give me some shit so I can educate them.

Decent people protect each other in a crisis situation. Masks aren’t perfect but they help. What is the big deal? Put one on when you go out so ‘opening up the economy’ is easier for all of us.
I suspect they’ll be shocked when stores outside of masked areas do quite well. When it’s merely a matter of driving fifteen minutes out of your way to go to another grocery, it’s pretty simple.
If you are sick, you deliberately go out to infect others? You are a Good Party Member, and Stupid.
I keep one in my pocket. I only put it on if someone at the door of a business tells me I need one. So, yeah. I’ve worn one in public.

In my area (Mid-South US) I’d say that @ present no more than 20% of the shoppers @ the grocery store are wearing masks of any kind.
With cases back on the increase in many areas, I expect mandatory masks to get into, say, the grocery, to become prevalent in more states.
I do have to observe that while not “fun” to have to wear, masks are a quite minor discomfort compared to many, many other things. It appears from this and many other threads that (aside from “freedom” concerns) we have a large contingent of FReepers (and most Americans?) who are real sissies when it comes to a bit of extended physical hardship. I’m sure the Chinese and others are taking note.
They may find that a blanket mandate without any exceptions violates the ADA.
Face masks are useless and this virus will never be beaten. The flu and common cold, of which a corona virus is one of the primary agents have not been beaten. The 89% stat is BS, but if the mask makes you feel safer, then go for it. The mask is worn for your protection, to keep you from getting a disease. Even the best mask only stops particles down to 5 microns; viruses are 250 times smaller so good luck with the mask keeping viruses out.
I am in the Tampa area.
I see about 40% mask usage.
Employees are stuck wearing them. But at stores or restaurants. Well under half are wearing masks.
If you go to the beaches.....Nobody is wearing a mask.
I wear a bandit kerchief “mask” and F them if they do not like it.
Could not breath with the democrat approved gags.
Screw masks. Period
Bring a bandanna. Wear around neck where required
