NASCAR employees will receive sensitivity training in the coming weeks after the discovery of a garage door pull tied into a noose was found in driver Bubba Wallace’s garage and triggered a national controversy, president Steve Phelps said on Thursday.
“We'll make any changes necessary to our sanctions and our code of conduct and we will mandate that all members of our industry complete sensitivity and unconscious bias training,” Phelps said during a press conference.

I asked him who he got and he said to come look at his car...We went over and he pulled the car cover of and there on the rear fender is a huge Bali Hi Wine decal...
I ask how much money he got and he said “Well, not a whole lot, but look here...”
He opened his truck and there was stacked case upon case of Bali Hi wine...
Can you imagine what that garage area looked like about two, three hours later???

I will say, even though Richard Petty’s actions with this “noose” thing is disappointing, back then, he was a really good guy, even though he was “the King”, he treated everyone very good...

Well, NASCAR is somewhat ashamed of their fans. (Think Republican party and the TEA Party.) But, they still are stuck with them if they want to survive.
This lame-ass attempt to say “See!..we’re not RACIST!” much like a 1971 Vega engine, has only begun to backfire.
Wait until Ol’ Bubba gets booed every race...they’ll have to denounce their fans even more, ban booing, or maybe just ban booing Bubba.

The Wood Brothers had the stall *last fall*. There may have been a member of the Wood Brothers team around the stall last week, but there were dozens of others as well since there’s 40 teams racing and each have several people that would be in and around the area even with COVID restrictions. Photos from last October or November show bays 4 and 5 both having those loops on the pull ropes to pull the garage doors down. The photo I saw from this past week showed the bay 4 (Wallace’s) rope cut off—I assume for “evidence”—but the bay 5 rope, with loop, was still there.
