Because of the red “X” on it?

“Between 1868 and 1900, Florida’s state flag consisted of a white field with the state seal in the center. During the late 1890s, Governor Francis P. Fleming suggested that a red cross be added, so that the banner did not appear to be a white flag of truce or surrender when hanging still on a flagpole.”

The revolutionary left needs to be counter punched and put off balance. Direct attacks on Robert Byrd, Woodrow Wilson, slavery connection to leftits Universities, etc. Get Dems playing defense and obviously they won’t be on offense.

Eventually, there will be nothing left but MLK and Byrd statues...and a lot of frustrated pigeons.

They’ll eventually come for MLK.

Keep voting until we get our way......it isn't faaaair, boo hoo hoo.

They already voted to keep it.

What's the point in voting on anything if the end result will always be the same?

They took two polls, very small amount of people polled, on the matter; one by Chism Strategies (sample size was 540 with a margin of error of 4.38%), and one by Tarrance Group (sample size of 500 likely voters and a margin of error of 4.5%), and the actual questionnaire from Tarrance Group on the Mississippi Flag, I cannot find, but here's their final memo that I can find.

Here is the Chism Strategies Mississippi Statewide Survey - June 10, 2020.

Here is a guide to Texas property taxes and appraisal for you:

https://www.traviscad.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/96-1425-Property-Tax-Basics.pdf

I have successfully used the appeal procedure to reduce several proposed tax increases on houses I have owned in Texas. Usually because the comparable houses they used to justify my increase were not comparable or they did not consider other sales.

I do envy your 2% a year increase on appraised values. Ten percent a year is the limit here. However, that hasn’t stopped Californians from selling their expensive, much smaller houses in California and buying much bigger houses in Texas for the same money.

Last year we sold our House in Southern CA to a Dentist who moved from TX. He still has a House in Dallas that he had built and he is now renting it out.

I think his Wife wanted to move to CA to be near Family and he went along. Probably a happy Wife, happy Life scenario.

There were for more Californians than Texans at a new home-owner meeting in our somewhat affluent area in Texas when we moved in. We have had several Californians as neighbors in our present house, all of whom mentioned the lower Texas home prices. One California family in particular mentioned the terrible school system they left in Southern California compared to what they found here.

With all of the Californians here in our Texas neighborhood, one downside was that our voting precinct barely went Democrat over Republican.

>>>With all of the Californians here in our Texas neighborhood, one downside was that our voting precinct barely went Democrat over Republican<<<

Yeah, that’s the downside. We lived in formerly Conservative South Orange County. When the Rats won every Congressional Seat, or should I say “harvested” Votes and won all the seats, I just gave up.

Liberalism is like a Parasite. It kills the Host and then moves on to infect and kill another Host.

We now live in Adams County, MS which is full of Democrats, especially Black Democrats. Hillary Won the County by over ten points I believe. Nobody runs as a Republican here, you either run as a Rat or Independent.

If we stay in MS we will be moving to the Coast which is more Conservative from what I’ve been told.

The largest appropriation of an impoverished Mississippi in 1866 was for prosthetic limbs.

I just spoke to my State Representative of Mississippi and he agrees that there should be a state-wide vote on the Flag before any change.
He's voting against changing the flag and said that he would be for putting it to a state-wide vote first.

Absolutely. Let the residents of MS decide, just as they did in 2001.

I recommend everyone take the time to call their State Representative and tell them what they want.
Here's a link to track down the contact numbers or e-mail addresses.

I grew up in MS but live in East TN now.
But certainly would if I still lived there.
