The Twenty-second Amendment (Amendment XXII) to the United States Constitution sets a limit on the number of times an individual is eligible for election to the office of President of the United States, and also sets additional eligibility conditions for presidents who succeed to the unexpired terms of their predecessors.
More to the point:
Scholars debate whether the amendment prohibits affected individuals from succeeding to the presidency under any circumstances or whether it only applies to presidential elections.
- Hmmm...
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
Section 2. This Article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.[2]

[Ineligible to be president also means ineligible to be VP.]
Yes, that’s what I was thinking.
12th Amendment:
no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
I agree. I believe a lot of folks have a fear of not opening up all sorts of issues in their lives when it comes to reading the Bible & doing the necessary research.
If there is good news and bad news, it’s always wise to get both sides so you know how to handle the situation.
About 150,000 people died today. How many of them even bothered to read the Bible once? Much less believe it?
Great points!
Kind of like the massive earthquake that happened right after Christ died and tore the veil of the temple in two right down the middle.
Speaking of subtlety.
As worded, the primary focus of the 22nd Amendment is on limiting individuals from being elected to the presidency more than twice. Due to this, several issues could be raised regarding the amendment's meaning and application, especially in relation to the 12th Amendment, ratified in 1804, which states, "But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States".[24] While it is clear that under the 12th Amendment the original constitutional qualifications of age, citizenship, and residency apply to both the president and vice president, it is unclear whether someone who is ineligible to be elected president could be elected vice president. Because of this apparent ambiguity, there may be a loophole in the 22nd Amendment whereby a two-term former president could be elected vice president and then succeed to the presidency as a result of the incumbent's death, resignation, or removal from office (or even succeed to the presidency from some other stated office in the presidential line of succession).[8][25]
Some argue that the 22nd Amendment and 12th Amendment bar any two-term president from later serving as vice president as well as from succeeding to the presidency from any point in the presidential line of succession.[26] Others contend that the original intent of the 12th Amendment concerns qualification for service (age, residence, and citizenship), while the 22nd Amendment, concerns qualifications for election, and thus (strictly applying the text) a former two-term president is still eligible to serve as vice president (neither amendment restricts the number of times an individual can be elected to the vice presidency), and then succeed to the presidency to serve out the balance of the term (though prohibited from running for election to an additional term).[27][28]
The practical applicability of this distinction has not been tested, as no twice-elected president has ever been nominated for the vice presidency. During Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, she jokingly said that she had considered naming her husband Bill Clinton (twice-elected to the presidency) as her vice presidential running mate, but had been advised it would be unconstitutional.[29] Similarly, this constitutional ambiguity has allowed for speculation in 2020 about whether (twice-elected) former president Barack Obama was yet eligible to be vice president.[30] Most likely, the constitutional question raised will remain unanswered unless the situation actually occurs.[1]
So true. I also find it to be true when trying to talk to someone about God - especially family members.
Well, I’m sure the Democrats would never try to do anything illegal or ...... /s
Perish the thought Dems would do anything sketchy...
Yes, family members are some of the toughest nuts to crack.
Derek Prince once said that pride is perhaps the most hated sin for God. I can’t help but believe most folks perish because of it.
Isaiah 1:18 is like a plea from God to wake us up. To come to our senses and humble ourselves. Same message in Luke 18:13-14.
Removing pride is like moving a mountain come to think about it.
Willingness is the key that frees us to search for the truth. And in that search, we suddenly discover old misconceptions, inhibitions, and fears falling away; replaced by new found courage, understanding, forgiveness, and peace.
Matt. 6:14-15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.
Well...technically it already has in the United States.
Covid-19 made that happen...makes ya’ think eh?
Along with the nutcase leader of BLM calling for the destruction of church windows, icons, murals...like Christianity.
Metaphorically maybe.
We’re still here though - salt & light. 2020 has been the most wild year I never thought possible & it’s not even half over.
This is huge. Exactly as predicted.
I hear ya’.
It’s winter ...What we are witnessing is tragic, but I will say it again...
In order for the Second Coming to begin, America must be laid small.
