We were told that the governmental interest in ensuring that hospitals arent overrun with too many COVID-19 patients was so strong that it superseded the Bill of Rights. All businesses had to be shut, masks must be worn, church services had to be canceled. As Chief Justice John Roberts said in upholding Californias ban on church services, When those officials undertake to act in areas fraught with medical and scientific uncertainties, their latitude must be especially broad.
The very first action one would expect a government to undertake to stem the tide of a virus is to not purposely admit people sick with acute cases of the virus from countries with substandard health care. Cross-border travel is not a fundamental right like free movement within the country and from state to state or the right to earn a living, assemble, and worship. Plus, cross-border travel is the ultimate super-spreader.
Amazingly, at a time when politicians and media figures are pushing more lockdowns because of a rise in cases in some states, they fail to inform you that the biggest factor driving the most serious rise is coming from Mexico and is taking place in our southwest border counties. Thus, they are using the malfeasance of our government, which did not fully lock down the border, as a pretext to lock us all down within our own states.

The Media Doesnt Care About Coronavirus if It Comes from Mexico
Over half of our local cases have been illegals. Cheap Labor! Is there nothing it can’t do?
Weren’t both borders shut ?
They cross illegally.
A biased report recently said the “protests” which violated CDC guidelines all over the place, did not show any upswing in Covid cases. But Trump rallies and religious gatherings are obviously causing the enormous, unbelievable upsurge in out of control new Covid cases./s
Good thing the news media isn’t biased./s
Scroll down and click on the border counties.
Where race is known, about 50% of cases in Arizona are Hispanic. However, that could also be due to lower rates of social distancing among Hispanics.

There’s only one problem with this article. Why is New Mexico not mentioned? Because it doesn’t fit.
People have been border jumping the entire time. The three states mentioned didn’t take off quickly and peak like most states. But there is no escape, all states will have a blow-off peak at some point and those three states are now having that.
You can change the curve shape, but the area under the curve doesn’t change. Some states just move their peak to a later date, by accident or design.
Forgot to mention something. The Colorado county I’m in right now has a lot of farming and the same legal workers come here every year. They are here now, it’s the busy season for them
We have had no explosion of cases, this county is at 55 cases for 110,000 population.
its hit the golf tournament
Brooks has withdrawn because his caddy has it
He could have won it
More like 'predictable' ... not too amazing to folks who understand democrats.
That was the deal back in March "flatten the curve", they said, which was a shorthand way of saying "don't over extend the hospitals" as happened in Italy.
The curve might change, but the integral was always going to be the same.
A couple of funny things happened on the way to the election, though. Before the riots, the goalposts moved to "contain the virus", which was impossible as it was already well on the way to being endemic. Then we had the riots and it became "there's no outdoor transmission, so it's all good".
And then there was no doubt that the virus didn't matter, it's all about November.
And with all of the graphing sites that are publicly available, now anyone can see that the "curve" of this disease is virtually the same everywhere, regardless of "lockdowns".
Watching the media spin is starting to make me dizzy.
