That’s exactly what we are seeing. Failure to prosecute our so called “leaders” (Hillary, Lynch, Obama, et al) and illegal immigration have led to this. A two tiered justice system is doomed to fail.
I feel sorry for the good people stuck in Seattle. I’m adding it to my list of cities to avoid at all costs.

It’s not just the insult.
Law-abiding people of every skin color who can’t afford to move out of their bad neighborhoods will be put at even greater risk because of this.
So one, they’re assuming that drug deals and streetwalking are most prevalent in the Black Community which I believe is racist.
And two, they’re denying the citizens and businesses legal recourse in ridding their streets and communities of actions that have proven to be detrimental to the community.
The ones who will suffer most from defunding the Police and tying the hands of those who remain will be the very citizens these actions are claiming to help.
“I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help you. And to make matters worse, I’m a virtue-signaling Democrat.”
Clearly, the passage of those bills are for the express purpose of destroying what’s left of the city.
Universal health care isn’t a viable system. It doesn’t drive improved access to care, quality of care, inspire innovation or efficiency. It is a form of socialism, a system that historically has harmed people (great examples within Theodore Dalrymple’s book, “The Wilder Shores of Marx”).
Freerepublic has shared many stories over the years about socialized healthcare over the years- rationing of service, months long waiting periods resulting in harm, increased costs. The UK and Canada come to mind.
During Obama’s term the so called Affordable Health Care act was imposed on us. This attempt to further socialize our medical care touted the same socialist utopian promises, keeping your preferred doctor, saving you money, greater efficiency, etc. The result was predictable. Premiums and deductibles increased, penalties for not participating, more administrative complexity, etc.
I’m not a healthcare insurance expert, just a consumer of it. My perception is that we are not allowing our US healthcare systems and insurance companies the ability to fully participate in a competitive capitalist manner. If we did, I would expect the same benefit we enjoy across other industries competing for our dollars.

Really. I just had a very good example of a very good doctor here which was NOT prohibitively expensive.
Really.
I paid for the surgery out of my own pocket, rather than going to the medical center, we are a member of.
I cannot IMAGINE doing that Stateside.
But as I mentioned earlier, I cannot get into this, and really need to shut up now, before I get nuked from my favorite spot on the entire internet.
