“As to President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement, based on the information I have today, I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” the attorney general said last month. “Our concern over potential criminality is focused on others.”
This troubles me.
It should trouble all of us.
Obama will never be held to account for anything because BOTH parties assisted him in violating the Constitution.
That will be kept hidden at all costs.
Durham is not the only federal proscuter involved in investigation wrongdoing by the previous administration.
And, I heard when Barr said that about 0bola and Bitem - he said something along the lines of “as of today” he had not seen evidence leading to them. Paraphrasing. Very tight legalses, he was reading from a paper.
What’s criminal and what’s “not nice” are two different things.
It troubles me, too. I can think of 20 or so people I’d like to see swinging from lamp posts. But we have to be real. This is not a banana republic (yet). As long as Obama and Biden are exposed and denuded of office, as long as Hillary is exposed and denuded of power, as long as the other players get what’s coming to them under the law, then even though it still sucks, it’s probably the best way to deal with what is arguably a huge scab on the body of a free Republic.
To accomplish something like that, one would need a broad national consensus across the country beforehand - something similar to the Nixon resignation. You need a situation in which there is a tremendous amount of news coverage of the corruption involved - MSM newspapers and MSM TV news stories daily and new information every day that keeps it on the front page and at the top of the news.
You would also need multiple Congressional hearings that are televised daily to the masses - the types of hearings that are carried by bars and other mass hangouts.
None of this has happened - the country is not prepared for indictments at that level. Your hope has been misplaced. I'm not disappointed since I never thought it would happen since the ground work has never been laid and it never had a chance since the MSM has refused to touch this enormous scandal.
Actually, I think Barr is playing rope-a-dope here.
If Durham goes after Obama or Biden it looks like a political hit job which the Democrats can/would use against Trump either going into the election or next term.
However, if Durham roles up a big fish who is facing a long stretch of time in a Federal prison and THEY implicate Obama or Biden, then the Dems can’t say the DOJ is playing politics.
I don’t think Clapper, Brennan, Comey, will want to take one for Obama or Biden.
