After the autopsy -- whose conclusion does not fit the actualy underlying findings -- any conviction will be impossible.
Because the cops did nothing wrong.
EXCEPT they arrested a black man.
Because the prosecution, to placate a crowd, over charged him.
Or how many intimidated Americans decide that no life-threatening injuries for George Floyd might translate into life-threatening injuries for them when they vote with the evidence.
IMO "murder"...First degree,Second degree,Third degree...requires intent.I don't see intent. And when I say "IMO" bear in mind that I'm a big believer in "jury nullification"...in certain situations. IOW,I don't care if,under the law, intent is required or not. It's required in *my* mind.
Floyd died of cardiac arrest brought on by resisting arrest, with a bum ticker, while high as a kite.
Good luck finding an impartial jury though.
Any juror that votes to acquit will have to go into the Witness Protection Program.
Besides, if Chauvin is acquitted, there will be more riots. What's the Latin phrase? Fiat justitia, nisi coelum ruat. ("Let there be justice, unless the heaven might fall.")
If Chauvin isn't convicted, then all those stores were burned or looted for nothing.
/s
Hell get off because then the animals will have more reason to riot and loot. And thats the whole point. Timed for greatest effect of course.
Logic will not be a part of the court proceedings or jury deliberations whatsoever.
Other than the optics looking bad, I don’t they will be convicted of anything. Good chance Atlanta may follow suit.
Good chance we’ll see more rioting.
Virtue signalling whities should be shot.
The post is very wordy. So forgive me if I just scanned it and missed something.
My problem with Officer Chauvin Is that he continued to press on Floyds neck for a few minutes after Floyd stopped talking. And he continued to press on Floyds neck even after Floyd evidently lost control of his bladder. I see that as a murder.
Many years ago I was talking to a volunteer fireman during a break at work. He was saying how firemen use a neck hold to drag uncooperative folks out of a burning building. He said that it was 100% effective. I doubted that. So he put me in that hold. I went unconscious in about 10 seconds. Then he let go. He could have held me for about two more minutes. Then Im sure I would have died.
That would have been murder.
Except they shot a fleeing man.
The coroner said kneeling on the neck contributed to his death. That was enough to charge him.
So scores of America cities were burned down because of a hoax ...
ExDS ping.
Good read.
Neck Restraint: Non-deadly force option. Defined as compressing one or both sides of a persons neck with an arm or leg, without applying direct pressure to the trachea or airway (front of the neck).
Sorry but I disagree. The cop kept his knee on Floyd’s neck long after he could produce any resistance, especially after FLoyd lost consciousness.
If Chauvin gets off, Simi Valley will seem like a day at the beach by comparison. I think he should be exonerated, although his history of other nasty incidents could be an issue.
I can’t believe a cop would spend 9 minutes doing something he knows is illegal, knowing that everyone on God’s green earth has a camera. NOBODY is that stupid or arrogant. It only makes sense that this is a technique permitted in policy.
The whole episode needs REAL investigation.
WHY did the cop just kneel, hand in his pocket, for nearly 9 minutes - allowing every bystander to get some really good video?
-This was MEANT to been seen.
WHY did the so-called EMT/ambulance crew show up and not bother to even CHECK the victim before grabbing the carcass and loading it up to take it away?
-They somehow had knowledge -BEFORE they arrived, that the guy was dead... and they accepted the word of whoever told them that.
Come on... WHY are NONE of our elected officials asking these questions??
The whole thing is NOT what everyone is saying.
