TULSA, Okla. — President Trump’s attempt to revive his re-election campaign sputtered badly on Saturday night as he traveled to Tulsa for his first mass rally in months and found a far smaller crowd than his aides had promised him, then delivered a disjointed speech that did not address the multiple crises facing the nation or scandals battering him in Washington.
The weakness of Mr. Trump’s drawing power and political skills, in a state that voted for him overwhelmingly and in a format that he favors, raised new questions about his electoral prospects for a second term at a time when his poll numbers were already falling. And rather than speak to the wide cross-section of Americans who say they are concerned about police violence and systemic racism, he continued to use racist language, describing the coronavirus as “Kung Flu.”

And I understand that something like 4 million people watched the rally via FOX and the several other online feeds.

Watching with fellow deplorables is much more fun.
For folks who can’t make it the rally venue, maybe the Trump cold book smaller venues nationwide, like auditoriums, smaller stadiums, where deplorables could get together to watch on a YUGE screen.
I wouldn’t mind paying for a ticket for something like that. I think it would be great!

I sometimes wonder about the media at time when they don’t realize a false narrative can work against them as well.
The 2016 election should have been a wake up call to the left. They kept reporting everything positive about Hillary, and everything negative about Trump.
Results, some of Hillary supporters did not bother to vote since they were assured of her victory, and all of Trump’s supported showed up at the polls.
Those that support President Trump understands the difficulties the Campaign had filling seats. The biggest one being Covid 19 and the measured taken before the event. Next was security and then the protestors.
Even if the stadium was not filled, President Trump reached millions with his message. So suck it up NYT your hit piece is what fizzed.

I have no idea why they decided to talk up the large ticket requests. Obviously there is something fishy going on when you get a million requests for tickets for a rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
That having been said, yes, NYT is being as slimy as ever with its coverage.

If demonstrators where blocking entrances and attacking rally attendees then why did the police and National Guard allow that to happen? How many were arrested?
The preoccupation with crowd size misses the fact that millions watched the rally on TV and online. Trump got enormous earned media.
Three possibilities as I see it.
1. Arrogance on the part of Trump’s campaign.
2. Technological ignorance on the part of Trump’s campaign.
3. Google deliberately fed the campaign fake analytics to keep them from catching on.
All not good.
