Junipero Serra statue toppled at Golden Gate Park Group also pulled down Francis Scott Key and Ulysses S. Grant monuments

SAN FRANCISCO – Statues of Fr. Junipero Serra, Francis Scott Key and Ulysses S. Grant were toppled at Golden Gate Park on Friday.

A group of roughly 100 people pulled down the statues about 8 or 9 p.m., an eyewitness said.

One video posted to Twitter showed the group using a strap to topple the statue of Serra. The statue, according to the University of California, was first unveiled in 1907.

I seriously hope these cancelculture zombies get their freedom cancelled for about 5 years...

Activists just toppled the Junipero Serra statue in Golden Gate Park here in San Francisco

Now they’re onto Francis Scott Key, slave owner and writer of the Star Spangled Banner

Crowd beat up on the statue after and tagged it, plus a nearby statue of Cervantes for good measure

and on to Francis Scott Key:

This is sickening.

Where are the people responsible for the caretaking of these works of art and why didn’t they remove them safely before being destroyed?

Maybe we should defund the police, what’s the point of paying them if they’re just going to twiddle their thumbs while watching this destruction?

They tore down the statue of confederate general Ulysses S. Grant because he fought to maintain slavery. It's also understandable to topple Francis Scott Key; I mean, who can sing that song?

The again, maybe they're just anti-statue...

Grant fought for the North to overthrow slavery in the South amongst other things. He was not a supporter of slavery during the Civil War.

Lee surrendered to Grant if I remember correctly at appamatix courthouse.

I guess they will burn Cervantes Convention centers and Institutes next. That will be great to turn Hispanics against them. Give these people the rope and they will display who they really are and destroy the DEM party forever once and for all. #MAGA

defund hell - I’m about ready to endorse the deputizing of Roof Koreans.

These idiots tear down the honoraries of great men on public and private property, and want to replace them with drag queens and ‘aspiring rapper’ gangsters.

It’s not their decision to make.

Somebody should have done some target practice on our enemies.

Francis Scott Key? Now that’s a purely Marxist attack on US history.

Before becoming a writer, Cervantes fought in the Battle of Lepanto, where the allied Christian navy destroyed the Muslim navy of the Ottoman Sultan.

And he was white.

They’re Communists anti-American Community organizers. And it needs to be said and spread amongst the media or communicated loudly as much as possible.

“....Junipero Serra, who he called “the evangelizer of the west”...

Beatified by St. John Paul II in 1988, the 18th century missionary and Franciscan priest – who worked to defend the native people against the abuses of colonialism – was canonized by Pope Francis on Sep. 23 during his Apostolic Journey to the United States.

Serra was the missionary who founded the first nine of 21 eventual missions in California. Many of the missions became the centers of major cities like San Diego. He worked tirelessly with the Native Americans, and is said to have baptized more than 6,000 people, and confirmed more than 5,000.”

This Junipero Serra quy sounds like one evil dude.
