Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said Thursday that Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts should resign from his position and run for office if he believes his political judgment is so exquisite after siding with the courts liberal wing on two key decisions this week.
Roberts, who was criticized earlier this week by some conservatives for siding with the left-leaning justices in an LGBT rights case, wrote the opinion on Wednesday on why President Trump should not be allowed to end the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA.
John Roberts again postures as a Solomon who will save our institutions from political controversy and accountability, Cotton, according to the Federalist. If the Chief Justice believes his political judgment is so exquisite, I invite him to resign, travel to Iowa, and get elected. I suspect voters will find his strange views no more compelling than do the principled justices on the Court.

Obama intimidated/blackmailed Roberts. Probably with wire taps. Recently Schumer made veiled threats too. Obviously Roberts would do anything to keep his high position/reputation. It’s tragic we have so many weak people in influential positions who are able to stab us in the back.
His revenge for us rejecting that incompetent female he wanted to throtlle us with.
SCOTUS (Roberts) legislated from the bench on behalf of ObamaCare, turning a fee into a tax.
Roberts could have done the same with Trump’s DACA order but declined.
Why?
Roberts is linked to DS through Epstein and his
children. He should have resigned honorably.
Instead he will go down in history as the
2020 SCOTUS-Puppet of the Deep State.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t this decision a basic “You did it wrong, go back and do it again”? That would not be a betrayal, if this is indeed what has happened. If not, then the bastard needs to retire. Can someone clarify this for me?
” John Eastman of Stanford said that this could be done by the end of July. Do it Don!”
But it would never get to the Supreme Court by the end of Trump’s term. If Biden wins, they will undo the undoing of DACA and the appeal will then be moot. Biden will not be held by the courts to the same standard as Trump, assuming the R’s even bother to contest the redoing of DACA.
Roberts was just playing for time for exactly that result.
“SCOTUS (Roberts) legislated from the bench on behalf of ObamaCare, turning a fee into a tax. Roberts could have done the same with Trumps DACA order but declined.
Why?”
The obvious answer is that Roberts liked the policy results in both Obamacare and DACA and twisted whatever logical pretzels were necessary to get there.
So the court could have written this in an our and it takes them until the last day of school. What a pathetic bunch who love the attention. It’s a B.S excuse and they are just hoping Trump doesn’t get re-elected.
Rather than running for a public office, it’s time traitors, following their trial, conviction and sentencing, step up onto another platform.
I want to know if Roberts has a secret bank account in Malta.
I’m liking Tom Cotton a lot.
Associate Justice David Souter appointed by George H. W. Bush
Chief Justice John Roberts appointed by George W. Bush
Neither were conservative.
This isn't the first time. The SC is making a habit of saying the President has the power to...but seemingly, not this President.
And the cross dressing decision...that is this generation's Roe V Wade.
Troll elsewhere.
Roberts has to go. If he’s being blackmailed by interests. I think that needs to be found out and exposed.
Much like Obamacare.
Another stern letter from Cotton? What ever happened to his letter to the IC inspector general regarding potentially false Senate testimony? Any follow up? Nope.
Cotton is a sitting U. S. Senator. Not a bystander in the peanut gallery. He can use his power or speak publicly against those in his own party blocking him. Is he? Nope.
Tom Cotton: All hat. No cattle.
