This was actually a big bullet dodged by Trump and a WIN for him! WHY? Here’s why, during his confirmation hearings the New York Times discovered that Roberts and his wife were felons who had violated international law and American laws regarding mail fraud. But then all of a sudden the Times stopped chasing Roberts on this. They and the Democrats realized they could blackmail Roberts. They blackmailed him on gay marriage and twice on Obamacare. On the second bad Obamacare vote, Scalia was quoted (paraphrase) as saying, “He voted how? The guy just said he was voting against it 45 minutes ago!”
I personally believe Schumer is the blackmailer and I think he outsmarted himself this time. From his point of view he should have ordered Roberts to vote to kick the DACAs out. That way the media especially Telemondo would do wall to wall stories about the evil Trump breaking up families from now to November. That opportunity is lost now. Instead of four months of stories, stupid Schumer opted for two days of stories and when this story fades he will have nothing. BUT but but Trump on the other hand will have another strong issue. THE COURTS ARE THE ENEMY! This is why we must elect a Republican Senate. This decision probably saves Collins and Gardner and maybe McSally. It opens the door to crush Jones and beat Peters. Trump will turn this into another Wile E. Democrat situation. As always Trump wins when it looks like he has lost.
