Should have added, the word is not native American. It's English/French dating to the 14th century. What will we call the President, Commander in chief

And just who are the people complaining to Duluth about this?

“Chief” comes from the French “Chef”, ... it is not a Native American word in any Native American language.

Will “Chef-Boy-ar-Dee now be illegal in The city that is called “Duh-Loot” ??

Isn’t an American word.
Chief
c. 1300, “highest in rank or power; most important or prominent; supreme, best, placed above the rest,” from Old French chief “chief, principal, first” (10c., Modern French chef), from Vulgar Latin *capum (also source of Spanish and Portuguese cabo, Italian capo, Provençal cap), from Latin caput “head,” also “leader, guide, chief person; summit; capital city” (from PIE root *kaput- “head”).

from etymonline:

c 1300 ... from Old French chief "chief, principal, first" (10c)

Yet another reason to avoid the old French.

What a bunch of morons. The word “chief” has been part of the English language since before Columbus arrived.

Here is the etymology:

chief (adj.)

Incredibly ignorant, but watch they will get more stupid, it’s terminal with these people.

The term chief is French and goes back somewhere around the year 1000 AD. It’s where the word chef comes from

Indian leaders in America were first called kings until 1700’s.

The country is currently in the grips of an insane, hysterical obsession. This happens very frequently in the USA. It’s whatever the media choose to broadcast 24/7 in the leading position. The media have covered the riots to an extreme, making sure that every last person on Earth knows about them and takes home the message: “White bad. Trump bad too.”

During these frequent excursions into obsessive-compulsive neurosis people do things based on the emotion of the moment. They don’t use their powers of reason. They can only jump on the bandwagon and follow the herd. They do stupid things which get them the approval of the other cattle in the herd.

I don’t expect much, and so I’m not disappointed.

Basically, ever lib is looking for something to cancel.

It doesn't matter what. You need to cancel something to prove your heart is pure.
