ATLANTA - Craig Waters went to Underground Atlanta during Friday night's protests to check on the damage there and was nearly killed by an angry mob.
Family members say Waters, who is the general manager of Underground Atlanta, drove over to check on the damage after learning the protest had turned into a riot and had reached the property. His wife Arla Mae Waters told FOX 5, a group of demonstrators came upon him as he was assessing the damage and attacked him.
"All seven started beating him until he passed out," Waters said, adding that her husband suffered extensive injuries. "Right on the right side, where the connection between his cheek and nose are broken. His right eye socket is broken. He is lucky he lived through it. It was very severe he can barely move."
Waters said her husband has a long road to recovery ahead and worries the emotional scars from the harrowing ordeal will remain long after the physical wounds have healed.
"He's a very upbeat, outgoing man, very kind but this has really affected him," Waters said....
The new vision of Underground will transform the historic four-block radius into a sustainable community. This is an Underground like youve never seen before.
WRS will transform the historic four-block radius into a sustainable community where people can live, work, create, and explore. The groundwork for this forward-thinking neighborhood will enhance the social fabric of downtown by bringing living spaces, commerce, and vibrant culture back to where Atlantas first mile was established. Underground will provide downtown neighbors with unique shops, restaurants, markets, entertainment, and a variety of workspace options.
Not anymore ...
Start packing heat everyone.
“Protests”
Still?
sounds like UN garbage-Agenda 2030
Happened two weeks ago ...
It sounds like seven feral people escaped justifiable death.
Folks, please avoid these events.
Until the place has cleared out, please avoid them.
Story after story of folks who walked right into a beating.
Don’t!
Get a team together if you’re going into an after action
event. You never know. Being armed is better than being
beaten, kicked to death.
Sorry,.what I meant is I can’t.beleive the “news” is still calling the riots “protests”
I seem to recall that former President Obama walked right up to the line of asking his supporters to attack those who refused to "get right."
Yes. I can’t wait for the Tulsa Trump Rally.
Mostly peaceful.
Hopefully, Trump will start demanding law and order instead of pandering to Colin Kaepernick.
Sooooo, I have a cousin who live one block from the Lenox Square MARTA Stop. We spent the entire Thanksgiving week with my cousin. There were two days that they both had to work, so wife, granddaughter and me spent those days on the MARTA trains. We went EVERYWHERE!(yes, we ate at Varsity)
BUT, when we got to Underground Atlanta, there was nothing there but homeless people. HORDES of homeless people!
We saw a young man walking with his toddler son and asked him what happened. He said drugs and crime shut it down.
That evening, we told my cousin, and he was unaware it had shut down.
Sad.
Nothing ends police brutality like riots that demonstrate why police were so brutal.
Mostly peaceful.

lol don’t you love when the media puke that stupid term out there and expect us to believe it?
Atlanta is a very ‘cosmopolitan’ city.
Atlanta will see a mass exodus of the middleclass. It is basically a sh*thole with white suburbs that support it.
Leave now or it will be too late.
This morning at 04:42 am, someone fired off what sounded like ten plus AK-47 rounds in our neighborhood. Im reasonably sure it wasnt fireworks, from the cadence. Many people hear it.
