I am LE in GA. Word is that they are making the Fulton Co jail staff get in cars and patrol. Mayor asked for area sheriff and GBI and DCS help and they all told her that Atlanta’s DA is too reckless for their officers. No one is coming to help.

Jail staff are not police officers. The training is nowhere near the same. I would refuse.

Who controls that county jail? I’m guessing it’s not Atlanta’s mayor.
The former police chief said that after the DA charged the six police officers a week or so ago, law enforcement from other jurisdictions who had come in to help during protests pulled out, and it was causing an operational problem for her department. I doubt police from any other cities and counties will show up.
Please let this be true.

If I was a senior leader in one of these law enforcement agencies I wouldn't even accept the DA's resignation before I sent any help. I'd hold out until he blew his brains out on national TV.
