Garrett Rolfe, the Atlanta police officer fired after the killing of Rayshard Brooks last week, now faces charges including felony murder, which could potentially lead to the death penalty, a Georgia district attorney announced Wednesday.

Oh they will based on color. OJ Simpson all over again for the jury
Why would anyone elect to become law officer in todays America?
Manslaughter makes more sense, if that. The jury want to spark off a riot.
I’d be thinking about quitting if I were a cop.
The DA is running for reelection this year and the race is contentious. He is also under investigation for financial shenanigans and workplace complaints from people now or formerly in his office.
CNN’s hometown? He’s fried.
This won’t move that fast this will even happen for like a year. this is all politics and blowing smoke they don’t care if they ruin someone’s life. When is the issue of violent black men gonna be addressed? When?
I'll be right there!
This is pure political BS right up there with Soviet Show trials. It is time for the left to get “a whiff of the grape/”
I wouldn’t feel like believing in or enforcing half the laws dictated by the blue politicians or the liberal reds. They are nuts. Don’t they want cops to enforce shutting down the economy? Who the hell wants to bother when it’s damned if you do, damned if you don’t?
The other officer is trying to keep from getting railroaded into 30 years in prison.
Right now every police officer in Georgia should walk off the job. When the guy turned and fired the Taser at the cop, he had to be stopped. If they let him run he could have harmed other citizens in his effort to escape. If he had downed the officer the other officer would have shot him.
The AG wasnt paying any attention to the facts or their own law.
like the Floyd trial in MN, watch the timing...
could be quickest murder jury trials in history.
This is malicious prosecution and Georgia has laws against it.
They will have trouble getting this conviction. An acquittal will mean more rioting.
The cop needs to clear his name, get the Covington kids lawyer and sue the city. This is clearly a malicious and politically motivated prosecution.
“An acquittal will mean more rioting.”
The way these lawless racists are acting they may demand the cops be turned over to be lynched without a trial or they will riot.
Two white cops becoming burnt offerings to pacify the racists. Disgusting.
Good luck with that because NOTHING is ever enough for these people and they never have to take any responsibility for outcomes that happen due to their criminal behavior.
No way the Officer is guilty of anything but doing his job.
The responsible party is Rayshard Brooks. All he had to do is get in the cop car. He made a dumb ass decision and caused his own death.
I think it was a good shot, but if it was me, and I had a vehicle at hand, I would have run the son-of-a-bitch down with my car instead of running after his a$$. I don’t know what his partner was doing while he was chasing the guy. He could have gotten behind the wheel if he had the keys on him. That’s why both officers should have vehicle keys, if that’s not standard practice. It’s possible, that if they had run him down with the vehicle, the officer(s) probably would have been charged anyway, because they’re white.

Progressives have been pushing to have tasers considered deadly weapons. I wonder if this incident will change their narrative. However, I doubt so.
