I live in Massachusetts. It was my opinion that he created RomneyCare so he could run for President in 2008, saying, "I fixed healthcare in Massachusetts, I can do it for the nation." But, he didn't get the nomination in 2008.
I felt he used the state as a platform, giving it less and less attention as his term wore on (not that governing a Democratic state isn't disheartening), because his focus was on the 2008 nomination.
Romney was a Man with a Plan. Still is, unfortunately.
Romney had like a 30% approval rating when his term as Governor was over.
He had to be a brain-dead moron to think a leftist Republican politician from Massachusetts had even a chance in hell of winning a national election. If he was running against anyone other than a dopey exchange student from Kenya he would have been lucky to win 100 electoral votes.
