More than 2 million Americans became first-time gun owners in the first half of 2020, officials reported.
The National Rifle Association tweeted the news late Wednesday, referencing data released earlier in the week by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a firearms trade group.

The bad news is that many are unrepentant liberals.
Tru dat
They realize they need to catch up, but they cannot realize the error of their ways justifying the means
Taking my girlfriend to buy her first ever gun this Saturday! It’s going to be a .380. Thinking Ruger LCPII or Glock 42. Whichever she feels more comfortable with.
But will they learn how to use them?
Maybe they’re counting people who literally grew up with guns *but* just bought their first forced registration one.
:)
ILLEGAL gun owners know how, a few snipers would take care of that.
Glock 42 I bet. The Ruger is small and is hard to control. My wife got her concealed carry permit a year ago. She finally decided on a gun - Sig P238 (.380). She liked the Glock, but the Sig won out. (I ended up buying a bunch of ammo awhile ago as she knew it would be a .380).
There is still ammo to be found online, just a bit higher in price.

Stopped in the shop (where I bought my Ruger LCP) and the guy was stocking the ammo shelves. He said Cabela’s was sending people to them to buy ammo.
Take a look at the Walthers PK 380.
I’ve been thinking of a little Ruger LCP myself. Although I have large hands, I’m guessing with practice I could figure out how to shoot it in a pinch. I here they are pretty reliable. Would be nice to have as a backup.
The missing number is the amount of new intended buyers who found out that you couldn't just walk in and buy a gun.
Bing!
1.8 million just in April.
She will be getting here permit as well. Luckily the shop we are going to has a great selection so she will have the opportunity to handle a wide variety of options. She has average hands, but yeah the Ruger looks tiny so I think she will want something with a little bigger frame.
My new 9mm Ruger American handgun is on its way;)
Many are white elderly residents too men and women.

What I have is the LC9S in a Kydex holster. I don’t even notice it’s there most of the time.
Just wait for the second half of 2020
New conservatives have to start somewhere. A lot of these liberal new gun owners have taken their first step toward Conservatism. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so they won’t convert to Conservatism overnight. Buying a gun is a seed planted. Eventually a new conservative will bloom. Gun owners rarely stay liberals and liberals rarely stay gun owners. So somethings got to give.
I think it is great.
