Fox News contributor Trey Gowdy, the former chairman of the House Oversight Committee, joined “Hannity” Tuesday to discuss the ongoing anti-police protest in Seattle and the conversation surrounding law enforcement reform.
“I think that the police in Seattle actually retreated. They surrendered, right? They abandoned … the police precinct,” Gowdy told host Sean Hannity in reaction to claims that the denizens of the “Capitol Hill Organized Protest” were peaceful. “So if these protesters are really peaceful, I don’t know why the police felt that they were in danger or feared for their safety and had to retreat.
“The way I look at the world, there are mostly good cops and a few bad,” Gowdy went on. “There may be many peaceful protesters, but a few bad. I think we’re better off in society if we individualize it. If you’re going to destroy other people’s property and break laws, then you should be arrested. I don’t care what park you’re in. I don’t care what city you’re in.” […]
“Most crime is state [or] local. The feds don’t get involved in 99 percent of crime. So I think the president should use federal power only if interstate commerce is impacted,” Gowdy said. “Only if the ability to travel from state to state is impacted. Otherwise, it’s a Washington problem. They can fix it.” …

..... It’s time to start focusing on the economy and the election which is only a few months away ....... Not a good time to be constantly caught up in the weeds .......
What about those who’s rights of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are being denied? People who own property, live and work in that area are not protected by Seattle. If it were me I would tell Seattle good luck get any taxes from me, ever!
They’re the ones allowing it.
I agree the government doesn’t need to get involved, but I doubt Seattle or Washington State will fix the problem. It will end when the morons inside the zone either kill each other, or get tired of it all, and simply leave.
For now. It’s their problem.
I certainly don’t see any national security issues with a few dozen idiots trashing four square blocks in Seattle while simultaneously alienating themselves from millions of sane Americans.
When did he ever do that? It's one of the reasons I stopped listening to his radio show, and then his TV show. I haven't watched Fox, or any news programs in years.
They don't want to fix it. If they wanted to fix it, they wouldn't have handed out concrete barriers to block the area off.
It will probably end when they set a building on fire.

This is being fomented from outside. Depending on the action or inaction taken, that outside enemy will recalculate its strategy.
They can recalculate all they want (not sure most of them would even know what that word means what works in Seattle won’t necessarily work in another city.

That is for sure. I listened to Hannity today and he had a guest who was visiting the Chaz Zone in Seattle. The guest talked about the difficulty of locals getting in and out and how people with guns would follow strangers. Then Hannity, the idiot, said, and I am not kidding: “What about the food supply in the Zone? Did they have spaghetti dinners or bbq’s? And are they cooking for each other? You would think...” On and on he talked. Useless guy on tv. Get Watters into Hannity’s place.

He can do it without those powers, but with the powers the Constitution actually gives him.
Washington State has a National Guard that can be called up at the orders of the governor to restore order. If he does not do this it is Washington States problem.
Our nation is not a democracy but is a Republic of States. Each state must live with its own decisions.
If he injects US military into this local fuster-cluck, he will have set a precedent for future skirmishes as they may develop. The media will skewer Trump, call him deranged, racist, a baby-killer... because that’s what the media does.
Besides, when this mess blows over, the devastation of this, and other cities across the nation, it will become apparent to the unwashed what the democrat party stands for: the total destruction of America.
