Typically, when I disagree with my good friend Allen West it is over my belief in the merits of a good cigar and his stubborn belief that green tea is the elixir of angels.
So, with respect to his June 15, 2020, commentary titled: "The Great Society Has Failed," (cnsnews.com) I submit what he and others call failure is the desired outcome. I believe that secretly the "success" of Lyndon Johnson's Great Society Program must be measured by what reasonable minds view as an unmitigated disaster vis-à-vis the destruction of the nuclear family, specifically the nuclear family of Americans who are black.
There is a deliberate plot to destroy our system of government and further the already successful agenda of the Great Society Initiative. As I said, the Great Society Initiative hasn't failed. It has been a monumental success for the evildoers.

By using his clout and extensive knowledge of how the Senate works and how blackmail and other threats could successfully twist the arms of recalcitrant Senators to the breaking point, he broke the Southern-led filibusters to bring about the Civil Rights laws in around 1964.
This was then immediately followed by breaking up the Black Nuclear Family via his Great Society.
Instead of a message of: "The shackles are now off! You have much more chance now to get ahead through your hard work, which will no longer be in danger of going to waste!"
.... he instead broadcast the message of: "You are owed, we owe you bigtime, so take a break, quit your job, we'll do everything for you and provide for all your needs; the only single thing you need do is remember to vote Democrat, in order to keep the bennies flowing!"
I remember reading someone's tale of what happened in the black neighborhoods immediately after the Great Society programs started up. Newly-hired Fed Govt workers went up and down every street to knock on each door and tell the woman of the house (who was home alone because her husband was at work), that she didn't need a husband any more. Hey, why would she ever want a man in the house who brings the paychecks home and gives her a portion that he thinks she needs? Screw that! She will instead get the big fat check for herself to do what she wants. What's more, if that husband hangs around with her all night, she'll get cut off from the Great Gravy Train Society. And the more babies she has out of wedlock with various men, the bigger her "paycheck" gets.
Fabulously successful. Most black voters go for Johnson’s political party year after year

Yup. Some folks figured it out pretty quickly. I worked with a man who was married with 3 kids and had individual living arrangements from his wife and kids. He always had several hundred dollars in his pocket. Circa 1971. I was making $2.85/hr. IIRC he was making about $3.15 since he had been on the job longer. He would comment that living with his wife would cost him too much.
It is slavery without the physical chains.
