Secondly, if someone like Rayshard Brooks doesn’t turn around and fire a taser because he doesnt flee, then it’s awful hard to shoot him in the back when he didn’t flee because he didn’t resist arrest in the first place.
IOW, up the time of incarceration to 5 plus years for resisting arrest from the 12 month average.
People like Brooks will comply and do their little time in jail for a DUI rather than go to jail for 5 plus years.

You're in the wrong place at the wrong time; 4 police tackle you to the ground, put your hands behind your back, aggravating that old injury quite a bit. You start grunting in pain and squirm - they start screaming stop resisting and proceed to kick you in the gut.
Should you get 5 years because of an old injury that came back in a vicious manner?

My understanding is that he was serving a seven (7) year term, but was released over CCP Virus.
