Over the two last weeks, Mayor Bill de Blasio and others have voiced concerns that packed police brutality protests across the city could trigger a new wave of COVID-19 infections.
Whether or not that’s the case, however, remains unknown — and de Blasio’s team won’t be directly trying to find out.
The hundreds of contact tracing workers hired by the city under de Blasio’s new “test and trace” campaign have been instructed not to ask anyone who’s tested positive for COVID-19 whether they recently attended a demonstration, City Hall confirmed to THE CITY.
“No person will be asked proactively if they attended a protest,” Avery Cohen, a spokesperson for de Blasio, wrote in an emailed response to questions by THE CITY.
Instead, test-and-trace workers ask COVID-positive individuals general questions to help them “recall ‘contacts’ and individuals they may have exposed,” Cohen said. Among the initial questions: “Do you live with anyone in your home?”
Tracers then ask about “close contacts” — defined as being within six feet of another person for at least 10 minutes.

This is why I am done with anything Covid. If they want me to give up any part of my livelihood I need proof that I should. So far it’s been intentionally misleading on all levels. As far as I am concerned none of it is true.

I think some county health departments in NYS are trying to hide any connection to protests. I’ve seen a couple of cases where a general geographic location over a certain date was provided, and the only thing that squared for the general location and dates was a protest.
But get sick after a Trump rally and they’ll waterboard you.

Who is paying for this tracing. I believe these are federal supported funds. If not being used as intended either force them to do it right or stop the funding. Does the Gerbil know about this or is he too busy chatting on CNN about a second, third, fourth wave.
Not even the tiniest uptick in new deaths. The 2nd wave is all manufactured due to increased testing from people afraid that they were exposed when out rioting.
My first question to the Contactee before he enters my house is how many sick people have you traced that have tested positive with this killer virus ?
