so the democrats demolished the country in their effort to destroy this president. This is an opportunity for him to push against the MAGA theme again. and to your point the riots did not stop, Trump did NOT stop the riots-probably couldn’t-the point being don’t talk tough if you can’t do anything. He got the worst of both-riots and tough talk that got typecast by media that hates him as someone (unfairly) as against blacks and aligned with Derek Chauvin at least with independents and women voters, I know he is not but that’s the word from White House own internal polls. The only thing that matters is how many actually go out an vote. Turnout! Enthusiasm! Seeing all the dems did to Trump, there is exceptional enthusiasm. biden just doesn’t have it.

If you visit Dem Underground and look at the popularity of the threads, you notice Biden is hardly even mentioned anymore. There is close to zero enthusiasm over Biden.

But overshadowing all other subjects on DU is a consuming hatred of President Trump.

So the presidency hinges on enthusiasm for Trump vs. hatred for Trump. Or have I overstated the case?

Exactly. It’s hatred for Trump that they hope will get the Dem base out. They actually want Biden in the background as much as possible.

However, Biden also needs some of the squishy middle of the road voters to win, and the Trump campaign has to hit him hard to take those voters away - starting with past positions on China.
