Sexual activity among young American men has declined sharply since 2000, with nearly a third reporting no sex with a partner in the prior year, according to a survey study published on Friday that suggests social media and electronic gaming might be filling the void. The trend is concerning as sexual relationships are important for well-being and health, researchers note.
The survey found that from 2000 to 2018, nearly one in three U.S. men aged 18 to 24 reported no sexual activity in the past year. Lack of sexual activity, or sexual inactivity, was also on the rise among men and women aged 25 to 34 years during the survey period, the report in the journal JAMA Network Open found.
Possible reasons for the decline in sexual frequency may also include stress of juggling work and intimate relationships, as well as the prevalence of other forms of solo entertainment.

It’s a blessing of feminism. Women don’t believe they need to be married any more. They have no social penalty for promiscuity or single motherhood, so why wouldn’t the short-sighted ones essentially share the most attractive men with other women during their years of peak attractiveness and fertility? One stud and the multiple women he has either been servicing simultaneously or pumping and dumping in rapid succession can all answer in the affirmative to the survey question. The average or below young men in Group A (aged 18-24) are left out.
Those guys will go about their other business, and most will invest in building themselves up. They’ll hit their economic prime starting in their late 30s, when they’re still strong and vigorous enough to sire children and start families. They’ll also have “made something of themselves.” Then they won’t be settling for the aged slut who volunteered to have 20-30 other men relieve themselves into her, thus wrecking her capacity to bond with a man. They won’t be looking for the woman who has already blown up a marriage or two. They won’t be interested in the woman who has another man’s (or men’s) children in tow. They’ll be drawn to the women in Group A, who are in the beauty, health, and fertility peak. These will be the women who have their sights set higher. Some of them may also be a bit plainer than their sisters who get beckoned onto the man-go-round, but they’re still bombshells to these men compared to the saggy, used up broads in their own age group who are still on the market.
That’s the plight of the 18-24 year old young men. They’re competing against the players for present-moment female company and against men up to 20 years their senior for access to marriage and family. But let’s be sure to mock them if they spend a little of their down time playing video games.
It’s the 80/20 rule. 80% of the women are banging 20% of the men. That’s why STD’s are more prevalent amongst women.
This is not surprising at all. There are more distractions these days many of which cause young people to be less active than they were; inactivity leads to obesity and also to less testosterone in men. There is also a link between testosterone levels and marijuana consumption in men On average the American men have on average across all age groups 17% lower testosterone levels than they did just 30 years ago. The drop has been more pronounced in younger men.
Testosterone and manliness have been villainized in our society for decades now. But it is testosterone that drives men to pursue women; a teenage boy with peaking testosterone levels will literally pursue any hideous female with boobs and a vagina. But below a certain threshold the financial burdens, the emotional turmoil, and the overall trouble involved just are not worth it.
This is especially true these days when the attractiveness level and disposition of eligible females has bottomed out compared to previous time periods. Women no longer feel the need to fancy themselves up for men. They have many more options in life than they once did. Resulting birthrates in all Western societies have bottomed out.
