Atlanta police shot and killed a black man late Friday night following a struggle outside a Wendy’s restaurant on the city’s southside, in an incident that inflamed tensions over police use of force and racial injustice that have roiled Atlanta and cities across the nation since the Memorial Day death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
Video of the shooting of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks, who had allegedly fallen asleep in his car and blocked the restaurant’s drive-through, went viral across social media. Protesters marching for a third weekend in Atlanta for justice for Floyd and other black men and women killed by police quickly demanded a full investigation Saturday of the Brooks shooting, and the Georgia NAACP called for the termination of Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields.

You look! This criminal was fighting with the police officers. He stole the taser ran away then turned toward police he pointed something in the dark. They probably couldn’t see if it was the taser or a gun!!! They shoot...
Yes, and for decades to come the families will be hoisted as authorities on racial relations even though I just don’t see the relevance in this recent case.
If it all goes bad the Poles will go down fighting. We may have lost that point of pride.
I can only hope that these “community centers” designated for inner city youth, instead of shooting hoops, has classes explaining to these youths, that if you pass out in a Wendy’s line because you are stoned or drunk, and the police are called that you simply accept the fact you messed up. Put your hands up and comply with the police. These classes might also instruct the youths to not grab police weapons, hit, kick them, then run turning to fire on them. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW, white or black. Be assured if Brooks were white it would have been the same outcome.
And nobody is going to deface a statue of Kosciuszko in Poland, I’ll tell you that.
