Atlanta police shot and killed a black man late Friday night following a struggle outside a Wendy’s restaurant on the city’s southside, in an incident that inflamed tensions over police use of force and racial injustice that have roiled Atlanta and cities across the nation since the Memorial Day death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
Video of the shooting of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks, who had allegedly fallen asleep in his car and blocked the restaurant’s drive-through, went viral across social media. Protesters marching for a third weekend in Atlanta for justice for Floyd and other black men and women killed by police quickly demanded a full investigation Saturday of the Brooks shooting, and the Georgia NAACP called for the termination of Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields.

My understanding is that the victim was fighting with police. He took the officers taser.. Took off running then turned around pointed the taser and the police responded.. If this is what happened. This shooting was justified! Period. The officers didn’t know the perp wasn’t armed beside the taser.

I am petrified of cops, don’t want them stopping my daughter, don’t want them stopping me, don’t want them stopping my kids. Sick of their violence. Sick of it.
Wendy’s is fully engulfed. BL and Texaco stations by the Wendy’s. No firefighters responding because it’s too dangerous.
You need to take a deep breath. You must be sadly unaware of statistics or you’d not be spewing what you are doing. Smarten up.
