The Georgia NAACP has called for the immediate resignation of Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields the morning after a black man was killed in a confrontation with Atlanta Police.
Rayshard Brooks was killed outside a Wendy’s Friday night after police investigated him for sleeping in a car. Brooks and police got into a scuffle in which Brooks apparently got one of the officer’s Tasers, the GBI said.
GBI Director Vic Reynolds said it appears the Brooks ran from the officers, but then turned back around and pointed the Taser at them before officers shot him.
"At this time, we must address the oversaturated police presence in Georgia’s Black communities," the NAACP said in a statement Saturday. "This is not the first time a Black man was killed for sleeping. The Atlanta Police Department has a history of antagonizing our Black communities."

No he was shot because he fought with police and pointed what the police thought was a gun at them. If the NAACP was a legit organization they would tell blacks not to needlessly fight with police.

Why should anyone resign. Take a taser gun from an officer and threaten him or her with it and you deserve whatever you get.

If our law abiding society doesn’t fight back on racist bigoted railroading, in 10 years we will be living in a third world hell hole and fodder for the criminal corrupt politicians.
We must fight back as a law abiding productive society of equals instead of allowing the left to focus us solely on their bigotry and on race. They are the racists by definition.
Here's an idea -- if you don't want to get shot and risk dying, DON'T TAKE A TASER GUN FROM A POLICE OFFICER AND TRY TO USE IT ON HIM OR HER. Real simple.
I wonder what color was the police officer that shot him. No mention anywhere. Curious. No calls to put the officer on trial. just for the white police chief to resign.
In Minneapolis the Black Police chief is still there but the white officer is arrested and several other officers as well.
By what standards does the NAACP decide who should Go, who should go to jail, and who should be unmentioned.
