Do we know if the person enslaved was in a Confederate slave state or a United States slave state?
I ask that because President Lincoln was not alive when slavery was abolished in the United States.
It should have taken a constitutional amendment to do it, but what they did instead was point guns at the people of the conquered Southern states, and tell them they *WOULD* vote the way Washington DC directed them to vote, or they would suffer even more abuse at the hands of the Army then occupying them.
This resulted in a bunch of fake "sock puppet" votes that were really just proxies for Washington DC , and did not represent a real "consent of the governed" vote, as the Constitutional amendment process requires.
Any vote held with Armies controlling a state and directing a certain outcome is not a valid vote.

Substitute Baltic States in reference's to the South, and Stalin and Soviet Russia for Lincoln and the North... and you have exactly the procedure by which Stalin in 1940 annexed the Baltic States whose combined population was about 7 million.

Let’s hope they never figure out that some of our cities are named after saints or have other religious meanings (St. Louis, St. Paul, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Sacramento, Santa Barbara, Santa Ana, San Jose, San Mateo, Santa Fe, to name a few).
It’s a clear indication that this has nothing to do with race and everything to do with insurrection and overthrowing the Constitution. I have long ago lost any sense of caring about any of them. It is too bad that Americans who are black and live the same way we all do to get a life and security for their families are going to have a price to pay for the actions taken in the name of their race. My union, abolitionist ancestors are spinning in their graves right now. I’m sure they might be feeling remorse for the blood and treasure they spent in vain to free a people whose descendants are now trying to overthrow the Republic they defended.
