When I first read this elsewhere, “18.6% of Minneapolis’ total real estate listings have popped up for sale in just the last 7 days”

I misread it to be “total real estate”, not “total real estate listings”. The question is, what is the normal percentage of listings that are listed in the last week?

I've property available in Idaho. Several showings, half from out of state. Two weekends ago a family from Seattle took a look. Last weekend they came again. They're trying to work the finances now.

I actually saw that happen when I was living in one of the most conservative states in the nation, New Hampshire, and saw it get infested with Massholes fleeing their high tax-high regulation state. Look at NH now. I bet a lot of those people fleeing MA thought they were conservatives also. I guess "conservative" is a relative term. Look at Born to Conserve's reply to me, for example. He's rather have people like the "conservatives" in Minnesota who stay silent as their state turns into a 3rd world $hithole than neighbors like me. I hope he enjoys them.

Not to beat a dead horse but I visit at least yearly in that neighborhood near minnihaha creek and lake Street too. its almost 100% old hippies and new hippies. Kum-by-ya has been the mantra for a long time and the blacks laugh at white people who sit and sing as they get their asses handed to them and their possessions robbed. 3/4 of the people in that area don't even mow their yards and its encouraged to let south minneapolis “ return to nature”. And yep, soon it will be prairie Indian land again.

I think even liberals are having second thoughts about staying in Minneapolis. The riots on the first night moved down Lake Street to the tony, hip Uptown neighborhood where the looters attacked an Apple store, jewelry shop and other businesses and burned out trendy restaurants, boutiques and bars. The young “progressives” now have no place to get IPhone accessories, lattes and non GMO couscous and may be forced to join the deplorables in the suburbs.

This is a situation where people who paid off their mortgage and own their homes becomes a curse and not a blessing. People selling their depreciated homes in a panic market will lose tens of thousands of dollars.
