HALLANDALE BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Ten members of Hallandale Beach Polices SWAT team have resigned citing safety concerns in a letter sent to the departments police chief.
The letter to Chief Sonia Quinones is dated June 9, and the team members said they were minimally equipped, under trained and often times restrained by the politicization of our tactics to the extent of placing the safety of dogs over the safety of the team members.
The team members added that their current situation and several recent local events have made officers increasingly hesitant, which creates safety issues that cannot be ignored or overlooked.
Officers also claimed they have had a lack of support from the citys administration, commission and command staff. The officers said they were displeased with the command staff, who took a knee with protesters during a Monday demonstration.
Until these conditions and sentiments are rectified and addressed, we cannot safely, effectively and in good faith carry out duties in this capacity without putting ...

The letter to Chief Sonia Quinones.....
I could be wrong, but I think I see the root problem right here.
How is it that so many women are chiefs of police? Are there no men qualified for the job?
Get a look at this “leadership” looks like they never left the Donut shops when the rioting went down.

Affirmative Action, it’s not just for black people.
They’re just resigning from the SWAT team, they’re staying for the pension.
Because a bull dyke scores about 3 minority checkoffs....
Normally, they're political appointees; the mayor's hand-picked bootlicker and yes-man.
A START that I hope snowballs like and avalanche. Then the citizens will react and oust their incompetent mayor, city council, perhaps Police Chiefs, etc.
Time to clean out the PCed, often Democrat ruled, Augean Stables.
What’s with the Rainbow colored/designed police badge and their other rainbow colored “H” sign?
Let me guess!!!
The chief’s biography leaves out a lot.
Does the city of Hallandale Beach need a SWAT anyway?
Your missing the story. Click on the link in the article to the actual letter. They are talking about this Commissioner.

AS you can see she has already changed her background picture after she read my post to her. I posted it on the city site a well. This is our up and coming replacement for Debbie Wassermann Schultz. We only get the best here in Hallandale.

What next genius? Isn’t it ironic your Facebook background page is a picture of you standing with our Officers. Instead of standing alongside our Officers you have turned on them like a rabid dog.
We all realize you are young and inexperienced. You are the age of my grandchildren. But that does not give you a pass to insult the integrity of our Officers.
Your actions are NOT a representation of me or thousands of my neighbors. If someone needs to resign here it is you for disrespecting our Officers.
You can put my name down requesting to speak at the next Commission Meeting about you. Commissioners are suppose to work to unite our community. Not to attempt to divide our community especially in a time of crisis.
When riots are going on in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale why would anyone in a political position pour gas on the fire? You need to stop with your petty personal agenda and do the job you were elected to or resign.
Good job!
Whose dogs were put above policemen? Police dogs, or the poodles and Cocker Spaniels the police kill of people invaded through no-knock warrants?
When police kill non-threatening dogs, I favor the dogs.
Nicely done.
They have resigned from SWAT, but are they still on the force. Or does this mean they have resigned from the force altogether??
But I assume these police are still collecting a paycheck.
Have these police quit or have they just said they do not want to be a SWAT team member?
They’re just being stylish.
