Elizabeth Warren is among the top three choices for Joe Biden's running mate, according to his selection committee.
Aides to Biden, the two-term vice president and now the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee, are seriously considering the Massachusetts senator and former White House hopeful, the Associated Press reported Friday.
Warren's name has floated to the top of the short list, along with California Sen. Kamala Harris and Obama-era national security adviser Susan Rice, as his vetting team enters the process's second stage.
Pundits believe Warren could energize more liberal Democrats compared to Biden, but she's a septuagenarian like him and wouldn't add diversity to the ticket.

If we ignore the whole possible indictment thing... Rice is probably the least likely to offend/annoy swing-state white voters if Biden has to go for a black woman. In interviews, she doesn’t come off as an aggressive bomb-thrower like Kamala Harris, and isn’t the least bit ghetto. But she’s not a natural campaigner/politician. She’s a boring professor’s daughter sorta gal. Not sure she’d be a very effective campaign surrogate for the nearly incapacitated Biden.
Obama wants Three Nationality Harris to lend credibility to his usurpation.
Jindal, Rubio and Cruz already contributed to that effort by running while not natural born citizens.
She’s black and it’ll protect her [and more importantly to the Dems, it will protect those who were around her] from investigation...she has the keys to the kingdom.
It’ll be Rice, you watch, I called it a month ago. If Biden wins, he will be thrown under the bus within a month and she will assume the presidency.
I think Susan Rice is the perfect slap in the face for the angry hateful racist left to say “F*ck you evangelical right wing deplorable Trump supporters!” It would be an ‘obamanation’ but it wouldn’t surprise me. They will do anything to make us more angry and divide the country further.
Warren is not a woman of color, which Biden said he was looking for as a veep.

I remember a few years back the congress critters etal were looking for a pay raise and reasoned that without more money it was hard telling what kind of ‘nutty trash’ the position would attract.
SO, they voted themselves a helluva raise and some good bennies and - they were right - they did attract all kinds of ‘nutty trash’ and we can’t just ‘blame’ one race or sex or whatever the excuse of the day is, WE THE PEOPLE have somehow voted in the Triple Trifecta of idiots including women who think they are men, men who think they are women, geniuses that think an island will tip over if more people on it, a disbarred Federal Judge, and far too many others including bold outright liars, BSers.
AND WE can’t just say ‘they’ voted for that, EVERY state and district has at least ONE clown that should be in charge of bingo at the local nut house, not having a hand in running the country/state/county/city/town/burg.
One thing you can take to the bank - it will be a black female. The day after the 2016 election, I told colleagues that Kamala Harris would be the Dem candidate in 2020. Only because she was such a poor candidate, she isn’t. I think the she will be on the ticket as the VP - she checks a lot of boxes in the age of identity politics.
