Following George Floyd's death, the nation may not be ready for reparations on racism issues but the "church can lead the way in biblical restitution," according to the president and CEO of Christianity Today.
Timothy Dalrymple said "repentance alone is not enough" for white evangelicals to atone for the nation's "original sin" of racism in an op-ed for the magazine.
"The virus of racism infected our church, our Constitution and laws, our attitudes and ideologies. We have never fully defeated it," Dalrymple wrote.

Decision is run by Franklin Graham.
Not remotely liberal. Not even a little bit.
You must be thinking of another publication, because you clearly have not read Decision.
Wolf in sheeps clothing!
Christianity Today is an apostate organization.
Apostate liberal rag filled with liberation theology garbage. I got a free year from them and after seeing what they have been writing I threw them all in the garbage yesterday. Blocked their email asking to get a paid subscription.
That's a very interesting challenge.
Of course, we know God is "no respecter of persons" and also "there's neither Jew nor Greek..." etc. but racism? That's where it gets sticky. Most people will scoff and sputter but fail to come up with a scripture to support their position. If they're biblically literate, they'll be particularly apprehensive knowing you will smack them with the many cases where God made it clear His people were not to cease hostility against specific ethnic groups. Amalek comes to mind but there were several others. I truly hate to phrase it this way but, by current standards, God would qualify under the definition of racist.
And yes, He doesn't care either.
I thought Christ died on the cross for our original sin. Sin ab initio, then, is a dead end concept for Christians that adhere to the New Testament.
I find that I concur with your sentiment that I must battle my own sinful nature and not that of some long gone predecessor. How does Timmy think he is being Christian by manufacturing sins that have not been committed? Charity is one thing, but such vainful hubris is a sin in its own right.
Well said. I’d be in favor of simply separating from them so we can’t oppress them anymore, but I’m informed that such a view is also “racist”. There appears to be no way out.
The Church cannot sell its property

No, the poster is sort of thinking correctly
Someone bought out Christianity Today. No longer owned by Billy Graham’s ministries.
I’m almost certain CT was founded by Billy Graham
Dec. 2019 they wanted an innocent President Trump impeached and removed. ‘Nuff said.
But to open their evil mouths again?——screw them.
Do they really enjoy working for Satan?
I take no pleasure in seeing where the church has gone. Many good people are losing faith.
It was and Franklin has been very critical of it.
It was, see post above. Franklin answered that question the last time CT said something stupid.
This is Churchianity. Replacing Jesus’ Gospel with Social Gospel. Make sure your church is right with God.
ODIN!!!!!!!
“Repentance” for what, exactly?
Religions are the MOST corrupted/corrupting. Do they make money to stay alive or do they stay alive to make money? And to make money they must preach fear to people and teach them that the church alone can ease the fear. With music, and candles, and prayers to whole neighborhoods of heavenly saints. The ONLY thing that remains pure and TRUE is God and His word.
yep
