OP-ED Exclusive from Gen. Flynn: Forces of Evil Want To Steal Our Freedom in the Dark of Night, But God Stands with Us By Michael Flynn Published June 11, 2020 at 10:51am Share Tweet Email Print There are seminal moments in American history that test every fiber of our nations soul.
We are facing one now.
Revolutionary forces are causing every American citizen to question which direction the country is heading. To determine the outcome, we must examine our nations history to project ourselves forward into the future.
Once again, tyranny and treachery are in our midst, and although we feel weve descended into a hellish state of existence, we must never forget, hell is conquerable.
Prayer is the greatest weapon and a consciousness of God is the ultimate thought of the day.
The idea or notion of a heaven on Earth is the very real sense of being free. Freedom is oxygen. Like the air we breathe that keeps our lungs full and our hearts beating, the celestial feeling of freedom brings a sense of peace to our souls.
Freedom must never be taken for granted. Securing our freedom demands a high price and that price requires hard work and sacrifice. Both will bind us all by the value they produce, but only if we are willing to seek new opportunities and new ideas.
Those who have sacrificed the most, those who have given the last true measure of devotion that derives from the love of faith, family and the cause of freedom for all of us to be free, and for the betterment of our republic and the free world cannot be allowed to have died in vain.
Theirs is the ultimate sacrifice and heaven is their reward.
Our future, the future of our children and grandchildren and the future of our country are at stake. God will not give way to the care of the devil or allow us to be left to the evil vices of those who would steal our freedom in the dark of night.
He will not.
Instead, God will stand with us, as he always does.
Hard work and personal sacrifice still very much matter. Being a good person and showing kindness to others still matter.
If our nation is to survive this crucible moment, we need to fall back on the God-given values and ideals that are the very foundation of our constitutional republic. Let us not fear the uncertainty that comes with the unknown, instead accept it and fight through that sense of fear.
And we must remember: The power of hell, while strong, is limited. God is the ultimate judge and decision maker. His anointed providence is our country, the United States of America.
As long as we accept God in the lifeblood of our nation, we will be OK. If we dont, we will face a hellish existence.
I vote we accept God.
So if the judges rule based on personal animus and political expediency, can Powell kick it up to SCOTUS directly?
Ping me with anything about this as I have go do things and stop listening in a minute.
The solicitor so far is being effective. I hope it ends here. Seems like some of this panel is trying to treat this as an appeal. Signing off to listen. Keep the faith!

I will ping you
It seems obvious that the intent is to delay. This is dead on the merits. The only real question appears to be if the mandamus is/was legitimate. JMO
If this case ends up getting kicked to the SCOTUS and overturned
wouldn’t the panel of district judges have serious egg on their faces and
bring them under further scrutiny?
Shouldn’t that be sufficient pressure for these district judges
to come to a proper finding?

They both repudiated and repudiate the Democrat party. Has General Flynn done the same? I don't know.
How does one write an op-ed like that and still call themselves a democrat? A democrat would despise everything he wrote in that op-ed. Indeed, the democrat party IS the "socialist monster" he warns us about.
Newbie.
You guys signed up the same year. "Professional" is hardly a newbie...
let’s assume that was supposed to be a /s :)
Oh, my mistake, lol.
Posted by another Freeper, this lawyer person apparently assisted in the case supporting Gen. Flynn. The below is her explanation of events, and supposition of what will happen.

That is clear from numerous things that Judges Henderson & Rao said, & I think even Wilkins, who was the most antagonistic to the DOJ/Flynn position generally. Debating the scope of Sullivans right to review isnt going to change the ultimate answer for any of them.
The other thing that made this clear is how Sullivans counsel, Beth Wilkinson, backpedalled vigorously in the argument from whats in her brief. To hear her at the argument, you would think Sullivan just has a couple of questions. Face with rolling eyes That is not what her brief says!
The DOJ lawyer hammered that at the end, giving the judges the specific pages in Wilkinsons brief where she laid out a broad scope of inquiry. Wilkinson all but disavowed that in her argument because the judges all generally agreed Sullivan cant 2nd guess DOJ.
So, the question for the court is: if the court isnt a rubber stamp to DOJ in this situation, but also cant 2nd guess DOJ either, then what in the world is the standard? Shockingly, I predict they wont answer that question! Upside-down face
What they should do is grant the mandamus & tell Judge Sullivan to grant leave to dismiss. DOJ is right that any inquiry by Sullivan into DOJs decision making violates the separation of powers. Based on todays argument, I think the chances of that are close to zero, however.
What I think they will probably do is deny the mandamus, but write an opinion that says they of course expect Sullivan to follow Fokker, which they will save gives him a right to review the DOJs motion, but they wont say how or to what extent his inquiry can go.
That decision lets Sullivan hold the hearing on July 16th & make a ruling on the motion. If he grants the motion for leave to dismiss, thats the end of the case. If he denies it, Flynn will file another mandamus petition & the chances that one gets granted are close to 100% imo.
The upshot is that what the Court of Appeals has done by requiring Sullivan to respond to the mandamus petition & holding this argument today is to *informally*, rather than formally as DOJ requested, lay down some ground rules.
These informal rules are: 1. DOJ can (and probably will now) refuse to accede to any request or demand from Judge Sullivan that it thinks violates the separation of powers. This is stunning because in general, the Gov doesnt want to directly flout a judge. It wont be shy now.
2. Sullivan should ignore the craziness that Gleeson gave him as advice in his amicus brief. He also should limit his review of DOJs motion to avoid invoking a separation of powers problem. (Since they arent saying where that line is, good luck everyone figuring that out.)
3. Flynn has to suffer the expense/stress of the case continuing because thats just how the cookie crumbles. (The Courts of Appeals really do not care about this issue. Ever.) But, if Sullivan doesnt do right & give leave to dismiss, he can file for mandamus again & succeed.
From the Court of Appeals point of view: problem solved. Flynn will get his dismissal; DOJ can stiff-arm the judge; Sullivan saves face if he takes the hint & conducts a sober hearing & doesnt rule the wrong way ultimately; the Court doesnt have to rule now, but can later.
The only problem with this outcome is that: (1) it undermines their precedent in Fokker, (2) its unfair to the defendant & DOJ, & (3) it leaves open the possibility that Sullivan doesnt take the hint & they have to fix a bigger mess later than the one they have now.
I dont know who Carillo is.”
My apologies for not being more clear. Carillo is the active duty Airman from Travis AFB that killed a Sheriff’s Deputy this week in Ben Lomond, CA. He was armed with improvised explosives and a rifle.
Thank you.
He knows what’s coming.
Not in the least because he’s bringing part of it.
What’s coming needs to be unleashed. How much more can we take.
Just sent freepmail.
From what I see on twitter and here and there, the support for Trump among black people is huge and getting huger by the day.
The only way Trump will not win in a huge landslide is massive election fraud, and I’m sure his administration has been addressing this. From little snips and bits here and there.
