I would view it as an honor to have the event on that day to help underscore the significance of his administration’s progress on so many issues of importance.

Too funny. “Juneteenth” and the “Emancipation Proclamation” freed NO ONE! It only applied to states and areas over which Lincoln had no control, and did not at all apply to states and territories over which he DID have control. That is the big fallacy about the EP. Slavery was not abolished until the ratification of the 13th Amendment in 1965, AFTER the War had effectively ended and AFTER Lincoln had been killed.
